I'm really amazed at how user friendly XCS is and how it makes using the S1 a breeze! Having worked full on with two projects, the other much much more detail than this, the features of the S1 are amazing. From auto focus, to multiple point framing and real time laser point update in XCS my lasering is definitely moving to the next level.

P2 Experience from Steve Smith: "Got to play with the conveyor on my P2 yesterday and was quite impressed. Took about 30 minutes to get set up, but it worked very well and was extremely accurate. A couple of lessons learned:
1. I used way too many tabs. Because of the intricate design (see photos), I used tabs every 25mm. They were easy to punch out, but I could have spaced them farther apart.
2. Once the workpiece starts to exit the back, the smoke becomes an issue. There is really nowhere for the smoke coming off of the bottom of the piece to go other than out the front or back of the laser.
3. Where the laser goes over the rails, the bottom of the piece gets a little scorched. I will have to space the rails farther apart next time.
I know Halloween/Fall has passed, but this is a piece I wanted to do a couple of months ago and never got around to it. Hey, there is always next year 🙂. The piece ended up around 29 inches tall and is cut out of 1/4" plywood from Lowes."

My mum always insists on a small present. This year it is a pedometer with no whistles or bells. So I made a gift box with xTool M1 that I altered to also be a lantern for the pedometer to go in. The lid comes off to get to the present inside.

"After doing a half dozen tests, I’ve concluded that the F1 and XCS are completely capable. I did not prep my image in any other software. Solely used XCS to make the layers and set up the entire project. This was 4 layers using the Sierra bitmap mode settings. Each layer I increased dot duration as well as adjusted grayscale."

That's a huge win and she did it!🥳 Slater 1st show in a little local Culver City Small business bazaar. She only been doing it for a few months with D1 pro 10W and F1.
It would be a great idea to take your small F1 for personalization on the show!

Continuing to explore laser work on natural materials! Great job Darren Chittick!!!!

This was a fun one for my daughter. I cut it and she picked the colors and painted it. We wrapped it with fairy lights and stuck it to the wall with Velcro hanging tabs. It looks fabulous at night 🥰 makes me want to make one for myself lol.
40w 3mm bass wood(used the suggested settings). Fairy lights wrapped around the words and moon. Velcro to the moon then Velcro light box to wall. It’s light weight enough to hold.
