Bona obtains the US patent for its preservative-free nasal pump

After obtaining the Chinese patent on April 15, 2015, Bona received the patent certificate from the United States Patent and Trademark office on Oct. 12, 2016, for its preservative-free nasal pump which was independently researched by the firm.

Consumer preference and brand team requirements for differentiation are driving manufacturers to remove preservatives from formulations because they can create adverse reactions in many patients. The side effects of preservatives include irritation of the nasal passages, nose bleeds, allergic reactions, and tissue thinning or damage – particularly a concern with chronic medication usage. Research shows that 80% of patients prefer preservative-free medications and they are often willing to pay more for them. The research also found that the vast majority of physicians and pharmacists prefer prescribing or recommending preservative-free medications.

The major benefit to pharmaceutical companies using Bona's preservative-free nasal pump is that the company is able to reduce or remove the preservatives in the product, meeting the requirements of the market and patients. Sensitive formulations can become viable marketed products as well!

BONA News about CPhi India 2016

BONA PHARMA attended CPhi India in BEC, Mumbai from Nov. 21st to 23rd, 2016. Our booth No. is V159a in Hall 3. This is the fourth time that BONA takes part in this grand event in India.

Our remarkable advantages attract lots of customers to come to our booth. Firstly, BONA obtained US DMF No. 030606 for pill bottles in 2016 and is going to finish the registration of spray pumps in the near future; Secondly, our new high-tech park complying to US FDA standard is in construction; Thirdly, BONA have got international investment patents for several products like Child Resistant Nasal Pump, Preservative Free Nasal Pump, etc.

BONA attended 2017 Europe Pharmapack

Feb 1st-2nd, 2017, the twentieth Europe Pharmapack exhibition was held at the Expo Porte De Versailles in Paris, France. Bona is the first Chinese company to participate in Pharmapack, and 2017 is the Eighth year.

The Pharmapack is a highly professional pharmaceutical packaging exhibition, Gathered the leading pharmaceutical packaging manufacturers in worldwide. This year has more than 160 exhibitors. Exhibits Include: Injections、metered dose spray pumps and pre-filling equipments etc.

Bona newly developed “Child resistant nasal spray” and “Preservative free pump” have attracted much attention.

Bona received more than 40 leads. Novartis, the one of the largest pharmaceutical company in worldwide has also established business with us in Pharmapack. Some new customers praised our packagings with good quality, and some traders want become our agent.

At 2017, Bona obtained US DMF No.031363 for nasal spray pump and US DMF No.031364 for oral spray pump. It represents Bona won the key to opening the Europe and the US markets.

Bona obtains Korean patent for child resistant nasal pumps
After obtaining the Chinese patent for a new design of child resistant nasal pumps, Bona received the patent certificate from the Korean Intellectual Property office on January 24, 2017.

Key features of the new child resistant nasal pump:

Closure: Locking neck and locking dust cover.

Can't be primed by children.

Dosage: 50mcl to 220mcl with +/-10% tolerance.

Usage: Liquid medicine for nose.
