❓Do you need a fuse between the batteries and the solar controller? The answer is yes, for safety reasons. The fuse protects the wiring and other components of the system from damage due to overcurrent, short circuits, or other electrical faults.⛑️🔋

💡By the way, just a heads up: When it comes to the fuse, it's good to go a bit higher (usually 1.2 to 1.5 times) than the maximum current the solar controller can handle. Make sure you use a DC-rated fuse since solar and battery systems run on direct current. Also, double-check that the fuse is rated for both the voltage (12V, 24V, etc.) and the current in your system. Put the fuse as close to the battery as you can and on the positive line to minimize the risk of a fault between the battery and fuse and protect the wiring effectively.

Remember, safety first when it comes to solar power setups! 🌞⚡

🎶𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻🎶

🔋🎼Shall recently shared how he transformed his RV, where he both sleeps and records music, using Power Queen inverter systems. His goal was to keep his propane furnace running to protect not only his living space but also the expensive music equipment that requires a temperature-controlled environment.

Initially, he struggled with heating and cooling relays causing disruptive pops in his music software. To address this, he installed smaller coil RIB relays powered by his Power Queen inverter system. While the popping noises lessened, they weren’t completely eliminated. To solve this, he added a second Power Queen inverter system, downsized the charger to 20A to reduce noise further, and dedicated this new system to HVAC control. The original Power Queen system now solely powers his music equipment.

Thanks to this setup, he can now switch to battery-only mode while recording or practicing, ensuring his sessions are free of unwanted electrical noise. When performing in public, he takes his older system’s battery and inverter to avoid noisy external power sources—ensuring uninterrupted performances with his 100Ah LiFePO4 battery powering up to 4-hour sets with ease.

🎸❄️The systems not only power his music but also safeguard $8000 worth of guitars by maintaining a controlled temperature, keeping it above 67°F in the winter. With Power Queen, he no longer needs to rely on portable generators or propane tanks.
