The LACLIL Editorial Team is proud to announce that in the coming weeks it will publish a special issue that focuses on supporting English learners with disabilities in the ELT classroom. The issue looks at an array of strategies, tools, and classroom practices used to ensure that students with diagnosed and undiagnosed disabilities receive equitable instruction. It is important to keep in mind that individuals with disabilities are by far the largest minority group in the world and in classrooms internationally, they often lack the appropriate strategies, opportunities and sufficient support to increase academic success. The LACLIL Journal seems to add to the robust research surrounding this area to show its commitment to inclusive education in ELT. Please stay tuned for the upcoming Special Edition of the Latin American Journal of Content and Language Integrated Learning.
