I wanted to talk about something that I'm sure many of you can relate to. Have you ever experienced those nagging voices in your head, constantly criticizing and demanding perfection? 🤔 Well, I certainly have!

Just the other day, someone asked me if everything was okay, and instead of taking it as a genuine concern, my mind immediately jumped to overthinking. I started questioning myself, wondering if I had done something wrong or if my tone came across as rude. It's exhausting.

But here's the thing: I know I'm not alone in this struggle. Many of us battle with the punitive and demanding parent voices in our heads. These voices stem from our upbringing and can be deeply ingrained in our psyche.

Understanding the psychology behind these voices is crucial. They often arise from our early experiences and the expectations placed upon us by authority figures. The punitive parent voice tends to criticize and punish, while the demanding parent voice pushes for perfection and high standards.

However, I want to share some good news! I've started attending Schema therapy, which has been incredibly helpful in recognizing these voices sooner and dealing with them effectively. Instead of letting them ruin my day, I'm learning to confront and challenge them head-on.

So, I decided to give the original place another chance. But here's the interesting part - my client started noticing all the possible reasons why I wanted to meet elsewhere.

This incident made me realize how crucial client experience and service are. One mistake can be forgiven, but if it becomes a consistent issue, it can turn people away from your business or services.
