DARK RED;

People who have traveled to these countries in the last 14 days are prohibited from entering the country.

TRNC citizens will be able to enter the country for the last 72 hours and with a negative PCR test result and 14 days of quarantine upon entering the island.

Persons coming from Dark Red Countries who will present a student certificate to be notified by the Ministry of National Education and Culture or who will enroll new students will be able to enter the country provided that they stay in quarantine for 14 days.

Employees who already have a work permit (including their spouse and children) and who wish to come to our country will be able to enter the country, provided that they remain in quarantine for 14 days.

Persons will be considered as vaccinated if they receive two different doses of the above-mentioned vaccines.

Persons who have had Covid-19 disease and 6 months have passed will be considered as vaccinated if they have 1 dose of vaccination.

Person who has had the disease: Submitting a positive PCR test result between 30-180 days before travel. These persons will be considered as vaccinated persons.

Children under the age of 18 will be able to enter the country with their parents who have been vaccinated and have had the disease in the above definition, in accordance with the PCR test rules (children over 6 years old) according to the country category they came from.

29.07.2021 decisions

The decisions of the Infectious Diseases Supreme Council were announced. According to the new decision, vaccinated people who will come to the TRNC from the UK will be able to enter the country without quarantine until August 31. It was noted that a re-evaluation will be made on the date specified in the decisions of the Supreme Council of Infectious Diseases.

We know, there have been many rumors, but with the latest decision, quarantine will not be applied to all vaccinated people coming from England. In addition, taxi transfers to Northern Cyprus and border gate crossings are possible for people coming to Larnaca airport from England. It is our announcement to all our customers.

TRNC Minister of Health Dt. Ünal Üstel said that quarantine will not be applied to the double-vaccinated Turkish Cypriots who will come to our country from England yesterday.

However, the Communicable Diseases Supreme Committee, in its decision today, said, “Vaccinated persons coming from the UK (United Kingdom) country will be able to enter the country without quarantine until 29.07.2021. It will be re-evaluated on the specified date.” statements were included.

On the other hand, Minister of Health Dt. Ünal Üstel's statement that only TRNC citizens coming from England can enter without quarantine caused reactions.

Border crossings within the island will be as stated below.

Level 1 (Green): No tests, no restrictions

Level 2 (Orange): Negative Antigen/PCR test every 7 days

Level 3 (Red): Passes are restricted. Last 72 hours of PCR testing for passes for health reasons. Transfers due to work, education, residence Negative Antigen/PCR test every 7 days.

*Passengers will be evaluated according to the country in the highest risk group among the countries they have set foot/ been in in the last 14 days.

Persons who need to be quarantined according to the above criteria will be able to spend 10-14 days of quarantine at the specified residence addresses with their wristbands, provided that they show their address in our country and download the "Stay Safe Application" before coming to the country. In order to pass the quarantine period, they will go to their committed residence addresses either alone or accompanied by a driver, or by public transportation, taxi, touristic minibus permitted vehicles determined by the Ministry of Finance. People over the age of 65 and people who go abroad with the board for health reasons will be able to download the "Stay Safe Application" after they arrive in the country.

Persons who do not comply with the above-mentioned rules, do not show their address of residence in our country and who want to come to our country will stay in central quarantine for 10-14 days, depending on the country they come from, in designated central quarantine hotels.

It is recommended that people who do not comply with the home quarantine rules be sent to the central quarantine, pay the quarantine fees themselves and penal action is initiated against them in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Prime Minister Saner stated that the curfew will be implemented from 23.30 at night until 05.00 in the morning.

Prime Minister Saner said, "The non-quarantined entry of those who are double vaccinated will start on June 4, provided that they have PCR on their arrival in the country."

Saner announced that the transitions from the Greek Cypriot administration to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will begin as of May 31, 2021.

Prime Minister Saner's statement is as follows:

“In the light of the Decisions taken by the Communicable Diseases Supreme Committee, we have produced a new series of decisions that will be implemented between 31 May 2021 - 7 June 2021.

Prime Minister Saner noted that considering the decreasing number of cases, the curfew was decided to be implemented between 23.30 and 05.00 for all days of the week between Monday, May 31 - Monday, June 7, based on the decisions and recommendation of the Supreme Council for Communicable Diseases.

In this context, Prime Minister Saner stated that a curfew will be imposed for all days of the week between 23:30 and 05:00 except for meeting basic needs, retail and merchandising services and all services / sectors not specified as closed 08:30-20:00 between hours; restaurants, cafes, patisseries, buffets and taverns will continue their services between 06:00-22:30. He also noted that Saner Markets will be open between 07:00 and 22:00 according to the new regulation.

Prime Minister Saner stated that another important decision taken was the implementations for the Southern border gates, and noted that within the framework of the decision taken, a negative PCR test or antigen test performed in the last 7 days will be required for the transitions from the Greek Cypriot Administration to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Prime Minister Saner Turizm also announced that the studies for double vaccinated people entering the country without quarantine, which will constitute the most important initiative, have been completed and that this practice will be started as of June 4. Prime Minister Saner noted that double-vaccinated people will have a PCR done at the airport during their entry into the country with PCR and vaccination documents made 72 hours before their arrival, and if the result is negative, they will be allowed to enter the country without quarantine.

Prime Minister Saner also announced that the amusement park, festival area, bingo, etc. activities were decided to be established in open areas by observing social distance rules.
