Frozen New Zealand lamb is back in stock :-)

Hi Everyone, the second batch of government imported frozen lamb leg is in the shop now :-) We`ve messaged everyone who pre-reserved, so please check messenger :-) There`s plenty in the shop and we`re happy to slice it still frozen into steaks on the bandsaw but counter purchases only, so we`re all clear on how thick etc :-) Thank you :-)

The controversy has landed :-) The government imported meat is in the shop, it's leg (bone in, approx 200g), total weights of the joints are around 1.9 to 2 kilos and they're 375 tl a kilo. They've been vacuum packed extremely well with no sign of freezer burn or spoilage :-) (also it is halal)

Good morning Everyone :-) Bayram is next week and we`ll be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (17th, 18th and 19th June) and re-open on Thursday 20th June :-)

Lots asking about the government imported frozen lamb as the list of approved re-sellers was published yesterday - just to let you know we haven`t had our delivery yet but we`re expecting it some time today and will post again when it comes in :-)

New Thai addition to our marinaded meats on the counter today, great on pork and chicken :-) All our marinades are gluten free and today we have the new Thai alongside smoky bbq, Chinese, hot & spicy, tikka, maple & chilli, and peri-peri :-)

Haggis :-) Hi Everyone, we'll have our haggis on the counter the week of the 22nd January :-) As we can't get skins here it'll be prepared ready to re-heat the same as previous years. This has the advantage that it can be bought in any quantity. It'll be 450tl a kilo and as its quite rich we would say 200g a person would be an average serving. If anyone would like to reserve in advance please let us know how much and the date you'd like to collect, thank you :-)

Morning :-) Thank you to everyone for the Christmas wishes, we've had a lovely few days :-) Normal counter service and opening hours today and tomorrow, for New Year's Eve collections we're open Sunday 8.30am to 1pm :-)

Christmas opening/closing :-) Hi, just a reminder that we`re open for counter service today and tomorrow and then closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th we are open only for pre-ordered Christmas collections. Please have your order numbers to hand :-)

On 23rd we`ll open at 8.30am and close 6.30pm. On 24th we`ll open at 8.30am and close when everyone has collected :-)

We`ll re open on Thursday 28th :-)

Suckling pigs for Christmas/New Year, they'll be between 5-8 kilo and are 1,500 tl each, pre-order only :-)

Turkey & cranberry sausages on the counter :-)

Good morning :-) We`re now taking turkey orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas :-)

Whole birds - 277tl a kilo (weight approx 4-7kg available)
Larger whole birds there are a limited amount, frozen, 9.5-12kg
Breast/butterfly (boneless breast) 345tl a kilo (weigh approx 2-6kg available)
Crown (with breastbone) 320tl a kilo (size will be approx 3-4kg)

Grain prices have recently gone up for the farmers so there`s a possibility the prices will change. If anyone wants to order and put in their freezer now though we can arrange that for you, we just need around 3 days notice :-)

We`ll also be doing pigs in blankets, and the stuffings this year will be sage & onion and our port soaked cranberry with chestnut, bacon and herb stuffing :-) (we can do that with or out without the chestnut)

We`ll close again in the days running up to Christmas, so we`ll be closed 20th, 21st and 22nd December, with the shop opening for pre-ordered collections only on the 23rd and the 24th December. There won`t be any counter service on these days, pre-orders only :-)

We`ll deliver to Lapta on the morning of the 23rd, and will take orders for delivery for however many we can accommodate in one delivery run that morning :-)

You can order on here via messenger or in the shop, we`ll give you an order number which please keep safe as you`ll need it when you collect or if you want to change the order later on :-)

Burgers on the counter today :-) In addition to our staple classic beef burger and beef with cracked black pepper and caramelised onion burger, we also have the butcher`s blend chicken burgers and lamb burgers today :-) (beef are 35 tl each, chicken are 23 tl each and lamb are 38 tl each) All hand made fresh and fine to freeze.

The beef and lamb burgers lend themselves well to a little versatility, each can be torn and made into 5 round meatballs, or 4 kofte shaped meatballs, cook and add to sauce and pasta, or have warm or cold in a salad, or cold on a cocktail stick for a picnic :-)

Just a reminder that we are closed from 3pm Thursday to 8am Monday :-)
