A series of good news from Gracie Barra Cyprus!

Last weekend our teammates secured 2 gold medals at the AJP tour in Istanbul! A big congratulations to Viktor Madarasz - 1st place in the Gi division - 2 fights and 2 submissions!
And huge congratulations to Christos Skordis for securing 1st place during his black belt debut! We can't wait to see what the future holds for you!

Last weekend we also welcomed our head coach for a 2 day seminar! Thank you professor Braulio for always sharing your knowledge and experience and to everyone for joining us!

Our Academy proudly recognized all the hard work of our students in our annual Summer Ceremony!

It was a successful season of personal growth and progress on the mats for everyone in Gracie Barra and our students got promoted with stripes and belts. We are also proud to add two new black belts, Christos Skordis and Nikos Moustairas.

A special thank you to our team of instructors who shared their knowledge and guidance and gave 100% in order to raise the level of our students.

Ξεκίνησαν οι εγγραφές για το Σχολείο Διαβίωσης! Πρόκειται για ένα εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα εμπλουτισμένο με
δραστηριότητες και εργαστήρια που αφορούν τη διαβίωση στη φύση. Aπευθύνεται σε έφηβους 15-18 ετών και θα πραγματοποιηθεί στον κατασκηνωτικό χώρο Τροόδους, Καλοπαναγιώτης σε δύο τριήμερα από 9 έως 11 και από 16 έως και 18 Ιουνίου 2023.
Η φύση του Σχολείου είναι εκπαιδευτική και διασκεδαστική, εμπλουτισμένη με αντικείμενα
δράσης, διοχέτευσης υγιούς ενέργειας και διαφυγής από την καθημερινότητα παρέχοντας
σε όλους προσωπική ανάπτυξη, διαύγεια πνεύματος και «μαθήματα ζωής». Το Σχολείο Διαβίωσης διαθέτει πιστοποιημένο, έμπειρο και άριστα εκπαιδευμένο προσωπικό ενώ θα παρέχει φαγητό και ποτό στους συμμετέχοντες καθόλη την διάρκεια.

Το Σάββατο είχαμε την καθιερωμένη μας τελετή! Μια ευκαιρία να βρεθούμε και να επιβραβεύσουμε με stripes και ζώνες τους μαθητές που έβαλαν την απαιτούμενη προσπάθεια και αφοσίωση στην τέχνη του Jiu Jitsu! Μεταξύ άλλων η σχολή μας έδωσε και τρεις νέες μαύρες ζώνες σε τρεις αθλητές που είναι πολλά χρόνια μαζί μας! Συγχαρητήρια στους "μαυροζωνάδες" Μιχάλη Τιμοθέου, Paul Χρήστου και Χάρη Νεοφύτου αλλά και σε όλους όσους συμμετείχαν και προήχθησαν!

Το πρόγραμμα μας για την νέα σεζόν που ξεκινάει την Δευτέρα 5 Σεπτεμβρίου! Πλέον η σχολή μας θα έχει και μια επιπλέον αίθουσα ώστε να μπορούν να γίνουν ταυτόχρονα δύο διαφορετικές τάξεις τα απογεύματα! Παιδικά τμήματα και τμήματα ενηλίκων με ζίου ζίτσου, no-gi και self defense για όλα τα επίπεδα!

We are blessed to have an amazing student and athlete supporting us and helping keep the flame alive! Nikita and have been at our side through difficult times and we tried to show him our appreciation with a modest ceremony.

We will keep on trying to change people's lives through jiu jitsu and create a new breed of high level athletes! Sky is the limit!

Our competition team returned from Moscow after competing against the highest level of opposition at AJP Tour Moscow International Pro. We didn't get the results we all wanted but we learned from this experience and returned eager to train and evolve more as athletes and martial artists!
