The buildings flexible structural system offers future modifications. The ground floor incorporates a dynamic plaza that merge seamlessly with the cityscape and provides health complex with a half Olympic size indoor pool, art gallery, multipurpose amphitheater and exterior activity areas.
Both building blocks feature terraced areas and green spaces on the ground floor to support activities and social interactions and providing lobby/entrances for the gym, art gallery, and amphitheater. The plaza’s design includes three sloped, folding plane areas that infuse dynamism and create an engaging environment and facilitating collaborative community gatherings. To the north of the courtyard, the office block entrance showcases some of the owner’s antique car collection in the lobby, with surrounding shops, restaurants, and additional terraces and green spaces. To the south, a residential block with commercial areas, restaurants, and basement foyer is situated at the ground level and adjacent to the ramp/terraced gathering space. The plaza serves as a model of green design practices, integrating the landscape into the ground level and responding to the island’s climate, solar orientation, and traffic patterns. Users and visitors meander the plaza under shaded walkways to access various functions, including business, residential, and recreational areas. The ground-level lobby, foyer, shops, bank, coffee, and restaurant entrances are interconnected through park-like pathways that shield pedestrians from the Mediterranean harsh sun by linking all functions. The sloped/terraced green areas also encourage spontaneous encounters and dialogue, transforming the space into a forum for social engagement. The mirrored bellies of the buildings reflect these interactions, contributing to dynamic art compositions above and influencing the overall dynamic structure of the plaza

The competition project is situated on one of the busiest east-west arteries in the town of Kyrenia, Cyprus.
The two mixed-use blocks and public spaces designed to efficiently manage high volumes of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The main objective is to develop a vibrant public space that mitigates traffic congestion despite the area’s density. The design enhances users and residences indoor comfort as well their experience in and around the site and quality of life through natural lighting, natural ventilation, energy-efficient elements such as double-skin façades, and rainwater harvesting systems, all aimed at reducing energy and water consumption while addressing urban heat island effect.
The double-skin façades and two free standing blocks instead of one facilitate shading, natural breeze and ventilation from the mountains in the evening and from the Mediterranean towards to maintains during the daytime. The interiors are adaptable and flexible, offering spaces for retail, offices, and residential use. The layout includes high-level retail and dining areas, flexible office spaces, modular residential units, and a rooftop terrace. Underground levels provide parking and additional spaces for entertainment and gathering, optimizing area utilization.
