Martin Abbas Hellicar, the long-standing managing director and most important contact from our partner organisation BirdLife Cyprus, has passed away. Martin successfully led a nature conservation organisation in a country where nature and animal protection is often in a difficult position. With his perseverance, diplomatic skills and foresight, the enthusiastic ornithologist had a decisive influence on nature conservation in Cyprus over the last 20 years. He was a valued advisor to us when it came to the pitfalls of Cypriot policy on bird trapping and bird hunting. Martin was seriously injured in a road accident almost a fortnight ago and passed away yesterday aged just 56. He will be greatly missed by everyone in the nature conservation world! We wish to send our deepest condolences to all his friends, family and colleagues at this very sad time.

The project consists of a single-family house of 130 square meters which has been connected to an existing building of 140 square meters. The main challenge was the conservation of the existing structure and the expansion of it through a new space. The existing building has been the main residence of the family until today. The project is α part of a larger single family property development.
The existing building has been designed to function as a spatial accommodation system. The sanitary facilities have also been included in the same building. The new building is the place where the family spends quality time during the day. The kitchen, living room and dining area have also been included in this part of the residence. The southeast orientation of the building provides natural light during the day.
The new building expresses its quality characteristics through the bioclimatic values of its design. The structure consists of a mixed light construction with main morphological characteristics, the use of material such stone, Corten steel and wood. A residential pavilion constructed through nature under the Mediterranean sky.

A. We provide you with the best prices of the market, as our production of plants does not come from one place only. We collaborate with varies of nurseries through out Cyprus and we achieve the best plant, size and price we need. By doing this, you do not need to chasing prices from place to place by yourself. We will get the same prices you would get by yourself, and we do it for you.
B. The plants you would like to include in your garden might be the ones that do not match the micro-climate of your house. Or even if they do, there are lots of other things to consider. The amount and quality of water. There are plants that need more water than others, and also plants that prefer another quality of water. We provide a service that is called drilling. We can find underground water, analyse it in a lab and tell you if you can use water for free to conserve your garden, with just a turbine and a good automatically irrigation system. That saves you a great amount of money on water’s house billing.
C. You do not need a garden that would look busy as soon as it is created. The plants need space to grow. They grow and they spread and they need space to breath, to root and to be healthy. Therefore, you do not need five plants in a square meter; you do not need two trees of half a meter distance. Imagine them after three or five years, the one will probably kill the other. Thus, you spend less money on the plants quantity to create the perfect garden. You do not need an unhealthy garden; you need a well-being garden for your peace and serenity.
D. We position everything it the right place, the correct house’s aspect (sun, wind or shade), distance, from the house or from the rest of the plants and finally your viewing angles (from the house/ street/ or veranda). We can exclude plants that even if you prefer, are risky for your future’s underground house conditions.
E. Our thirty plus years of experience on the field, taught us that the base is the most important part for our garden. The ground preparation is what will give us results and maintain them through all years to come. Again, it is not what we see over ground. It is also what happens beneath that. You need to consider that your plants need the proper food and boost to grow. The good quality of soil and its ingredients are more than essential for your garden.
