Firstly a massive THANK YOU to our customers, shop friends and artists. Your response to this shout out has been beyond anything we expected! The generosity of some of the donations has been extraordinary and we are so excited at the initial success of this recycling project. YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE! If you are taking advantage of Cyprus lock-down to have a clear out, have a look at the updated list with new items requested by our lovely artist friends. The new items are:
• Small wood offcuts
• Broken or unwanted wrist watches and clocks (any size but traditional style – NOT digital please!)
• Metal cutlery without any plastic handles
Also - organza bags, gift bags, clean blank paper bags, tissue paper and wrapping paper

ANNOUNCING THAT NICE SHOP POLIS’ EXCITING NEW RECYCLING PROJECT!
We would love our customers, artists and friends to get involved in our new project. At That Nice Shop we are always looking for ways to integrate recycling into how we work, both in the shop itself, and in the products that our contributors create. We really enjoy the amazing creativity of our artists who often incorporate recycled materials into their work – and this is where you come in! We are shouting out to you for materials, all those things that you no longer want or need, or that might just be destined for the bin! Here is a list of the sorts of materials we are thinking of, if you have any of the following that you would like to donate (or other ideas of your own) then please drop them into the shop. We will share them out with our contributors and colleagues so that they have a new life in a piece of art.

• Unwanted art, craft and sewing supplies and tools
• Ribbon, elastic, wool, string, nylon line, wire, small chain
• Good pieces of scrap fabric, felt, leather
• Broken costume jewellery, beads, buttons
• Glass pebbles, marbles, chandelier pieces
• Metal bottle caps, aluminium coffee pods (e.g. Tassimo), corks
• Greetings cards (a €2 voucher against card purchases will be exchanged for a good quantity!)
• Unused (new) terracotta garden décor – like plant pots etc.

NOWZAD – postage stamps and bras in any condition (yes you heard that right!)
MANDRY’S FUND – old duvets / towels / blankets, large pieces of new cotton fabric, plastic tubs
FOR THE SHOP – organza bags, gift bags, clean blank paper bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, bubble wrap and packing materials
