🌟 We are thrilled to announce our participation in the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair Positions Berlin, taking place from September 12th to 15th as part of Berlin Art Week! 🎨✨

Today, we’re excited to introduce Pavel Forman, an artist known for his bold and dynamic visual language, where the diversity of shapes meets a sophisticated, colorful aggression.

Pavel Forman (CZE) is not just an artist but also an academic, currently teaching painting at the University of Ostrava. His work is characterized by large-format visual paraphrases that draw inspiration from pop art and street art, often revisiting iconic and nameless figures from Czech and European history. His ability to blend various sign systems and artistic influences results in powerful, thought-provoking compositions that challenge the viewer's perception.

Pavel Forman is the last of the four artists that GDM Contemporary will present at this year’s festival. We are proud to showcase his unique work alongside other significant artists at POSITIONS Berlin. We look forward to seeing you in Berlin!

Today, we’re excited to introduce Ivana Štenclová, an artist whose work delves deep into the potential of the drawn line, constantly exploring the boundaries between drawing, painting, and even sculpture.

Ivana Stenclova Ivana Štenclová (CZE) studied under Prof. Jitka Svobodová at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and has been exhibiting her work since her student days. She is known for her intricate and thought-provoking pieces that investigate interpersonal contexts through an innovative intersection of contour lines and temporal vectors, often centered around the themes of portraiture and self-portraiture. Her diverse artistic toolkit includes inks, colored pencils, markers, and even unconventional tools like syringes, hot glue guns, and lasers, creating a unique and authentic visual language.

Viktor Frešo (SVK) is known for his unique artistic approach that blends a grandiose ego with disarming self-irony. His works often critique the art scene with a light, humorous touch, while drawing visual power from the banal and degraded realities of everyday life. His sophisticated concepts are presented as seemingly simple, yet impactful artworks.

Today, we’re excited to introduce Marek Schovánek, an artist known for his powerful and thought-provoking works that challenge conventional perspectives.

Marek Schovánek (CZE, CAN) is a political interrogator. His actions establish an inquiry and at times a severe judgement. His works constitute an inversion and dissection of social, historical, political and aesthetic theory as an ongoing process. His artistic work encompasses an oeuvre of considerable scope and is included in many private and public collections worldwide. It is not limited to one medium, but ranges from painting to sculpture to temporary installations and covers a wide spectrum in the choice of genres. He currently lives and works in Prague and Berlin.
