Well, guess what - at Hostel Orange, you do not need to walk that far to get those, as the Christmas markets are just at the Wenceslas Square, basically right in front of the hostel! Enjoy the Advent, the delicacies and the Christmas atmosphere! :)

Dear guests, tomorrow is a pretty special day. On the November 11th, at 11:11 the bottles of the newly harvested, so called St.Martin's wine will be opened in the restaurants across Czech Republic. Traditionally, it is said that St. Martin arrives on a white horse (the white horse stands for snow) and brings the winter in. The st. Martin's wine is served with some specials like the baked gheese with dumplings and sauerkraut. If you are up to tasting some young wine, go to the restaurants with this logo, tomorrow, after 11:11 AM :)

It is sunny outside! And what is more, the Husobranní and Cider fest is in progress right now in Náplavka, Vltava's riverside. Enjoy the cold and hot ciders with specialities of geese. More than 800 geese will be baked or cooked in various ways for you to enjoy! Let the receptionist show you where Smíchovská Náplavka is, and set off now! :)

Signal - The Prague Light Festival 2016 starts today :) Just wait for the dark, and Prague will be covered in light art :) You can download an official app with the map of the installations to your smartphone! You better go today, as there will not be so many people during the first night of the festival :)

On July 26th, at 20:00 Rihanna will perform a show from "The anti world tour" in O2 Arena near Českomoravská metro station. If you need directions, do not hesitate to contact our receptionist. Czech Republic = great beer. That's for sure. Everyone knows Pilsner, Gambrinus, Krušovice, Kozel.... but have you thought of tasting the beer from mini-breweries? :-o If you'd like to do so, go to Riegrovy Sady park today, from 3 PM the festival of mini-breweries will be held there. Free entry and lots of great beer, wonderful atmosphere, stuff to eat like burgers or food from the grill to accompany beer..... So just go and have an amazing evening :)

All events are organized by our hostel's staff : FREE WALKING TOUR every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday leaving at 2 PM from the reception. PUB CRAWL every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, leaving at 8 PM (or possibly 9:30 PM - consult the reception) NÁPLAVKA HANGOUT every Tuesday leaving at 5:30 PM from the reception if the weather is nice. Wanna hangout with us like the locals do? Than just join our free event - Náplavka hangout today. Náplavka is Vltava riverside, where Czech people go have some cheap beer, chat, walk, sit by the river and just be :))) We might also go to the paddleboats, so be sure to bring some bottle of wine or a can of beer (but you can also purchase it in the stalls there) :) 5:30 PM today, at the reception! :) See ya!

Dear Guests, as the weather is getting really summery, we decided to do another open air terrace event - grill party :) It starts this Wednesday, June 22nd at 4 PM :) Feel free to join us for some free sausages, bread, soft drinks and hopefully a lot of sunshine :) Will be there, looking forward to meeting you!

The 13th annual Museum night will take place already on the June 11th! Starting at 7 PM, the visitors can enjoy the free entrance to the museums in Prague and also free public transportation! Dear guests! We want to invite you to our Banana Free Walking Tour!! Our tour guide will show you marvellous Prague, its most famous sights and hidden places only locals know about. You will surely enjoy it, will get to know more about Prague history and have lots of fun with our guide Dan and other guests!

The tours starts from our Fruit Partner hostel Ananas, which is only 3 minutes walk from Orange in the Wenceslas square, 1. It takes place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 12:00. Just drop by Ananas reception and join the Banana tour. Ask your receptionist for more info if needed :)

Dear guests! Already tomorrow there is going to be a barbecue at the hostel's Terrace on the blue sky floor. There will be some sausages, bread, ketchup and some soft drinks to enjoy free of charge. Keep the fingers crossed for the weather like we have today! :) And most importantly, see you tomorrow, Saturday, 23rd at 4 PM at the rooftop BBQ event!

Don't miss Prague castle Doors Open Day on 23.4.!
Only this Saturday all the areas of the Prague Castle will open for visitors. From 9 am to 4:30 pm you will have a chance to see premises that are usually closed for public absolutely for free. Ask our receptionists for more information and don't miss it out!
