We wrapped up our visit to the South Bohemian Region with a stunning final performance by our young finalists in the Knight’s Hall of Jindřichův Hradec Castle. The concert was broadcast live on . 🎶

Today we visited the observatory ✨ and then tested our knowledge with a music quiz all about Czech composers. It was a great way to honor the legacy of Czech music and artists, and many of us discovered we still have a lot to learn. What a fun day at the festival!

Day 1 of the South Bohemian Concertino Praga Festival may have been filled with rain and floods, but that didn’t stop us from having fun! 🌧️🎶

Our musicians took the chance to bond indoors, sharing music, stories, and laughter while keeping spirits high despite the weather. 🎻🎹 Sometimes, all you need is good company to brighten a rainy day! Stay tuned for more festival moments ahead. ✨

Congratulations to Zoja Syguda, the Polish violinist who has won the 58th edition of the Concertino Praga competition! 🎻 Last night, she wowed the audience at the Dvořák Hall in Prague with her stunning performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, securing both the jury’s top prize and the audience award. ✨👏

🥈 Second place went to Czech pianist Nora Lubbadová, who was also awarded the prestigious EMCY prize.

🥉 third place was claimed by German pianist Celina Höferlin for her performance of Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

🎹First Class Honourable Mention went to the youngest finalist - Anke Chen from China

🎶 The event featured the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marek Prášil.
