The 1st Black Light Theatre in the World founded 1961 by Jiri Srnec. Srnec Theatre is the first Black Light Theatre in the world.
After the foundation in 1961 it repeatedly performed in 85 theatre festivals in 69 countries around the world. Black Light Theatre of Jiri Srnec belongs to the most important representatives of the Czech art in the world. On 28th October 2011 the Czech president awarded Jiri Srnec the highest state decoration Credit of the State in the Field of Culture and Arts Medal.
