"The statue of wind- is inspired by a tuft of grass with soil, and is a tribute to a thing so ordinary that we almost never notice it. Similar to the moving leaves of grass in the wind, Kolibal's sculpture is potentially kinetic and its balanced peace is only temporary."
When I first time saw this sculpture, my mind immediately said "Hair and scalp". Even though the original name is "the Statue of Wind" I notice that what connects them is the idea of movement, the kinetics. I love to think about my work as a sculpture. This art piece reminded me once more about it.
