Kristen Faulkner arrives in Rotterdam fresh from Paris where she claimed gold at the Games. She shares her thoughts on her win there and her ambitions for the Tour.
“This win is a childhood dream come true for me. It’s something that I’ve visualized for years and years but never was fully convinced that I’d be able to make it happen so to win gold is a huge confidence booster. It reminds me to never stop dreaming big and to never stop believing in myself.
“Heading into the Tour de France Femmes, I’m really excited to go race. It’s been a while since I’ve done a stage race and raced with my EF-Oatly-Cannondale teammates. My form and fitness are good so I’m excited to just go and do some road racing and have some fun! I love what I do and can’t wait to share this moment, this fitness, this joy with all of my teammates.”

Tour de France Femmes | Rotterdam to L’Alpe d’Huez
Zut alors! The most coveted prize on the Women’s WorldTour will set off for its third (in its current guise) edition today, for the first time outside its home country. Departing from Rotterdam in the cycling crazy Netherlands, its ultimate destination will be the iconic Alpe d’Huez, fittingly known as the Dutch Mountain. The Alpe’s 21 hairpins of hurt, sweat and beers may reveal to us the eventual winner and will undoubtedly be a raucous finale.
From the lowlands to the Alps, the peloton will have little time to take in the view with a leg-shattering itinerary including a double-header tomorrow with a 67km stage two followed by stage three’s ITT the same day. Alongside supporting .oatly.cannondale at the biggest race in women’s cycling – we’ll be providing some key stage previews and asking you to predict the winners of those stages.

What does it feel like to unlock the endless horizon? It feels like finding the edge of the world, then riding into new ones. Losing track of time, as pedal strokes become your daily rhythm. Days roll into night, your life pattern simplifies itself to the essentials. Ride, eat, sleep, repeat. The terrain expands, your worries shrink. Ego and self become smaller as the adventure gets bigger. Pack light, travel far.
The word ‘historic’ gets used in sport rather often, but this July has treated us to something special. A Tour that should be remembered for many incredible moments beyond the outrageous dominance of the young Slovenian, Tadej Pogačar. That was just the icing on the gateau.
‘Pog’ has spent 39 days in pink and yellow – but the swashbuckling Richard Carapaz has enjoyed much of the season in these colours, and he takes home the polka dot jersey and a maillot jaune too. He joins a list of illustrious riders to have won stages in all three grand tours, and he did it in serious style. A doff of the proverbial to the Olympic champ and his EF combative Education–EasyPost comrades.
An incredible edition too for the exploits of sprint sensation Biniam Girmay, the first black cyclist to not only win multiple Tour stages but the overall points jersey. And from an emerging green jersey to the greatest ever: Mark Cavendish caps off his glittering career with the most Tour stage victories ever. The Manx Missile is up there with the very best history can offer us.
Zut alors, what a Tour!

A majestic day in the Alps, where EF Education-EasyPost’s Richard Carapaz broke free to take his first Tour stage win, and EF’s first of this race.
With attacks popping off all day long, Carapaz used his experience and strength to pull off an incredible ride, shelling his rivals on the penultimate climb of the course, catching the rider out front, Simon Yates, and proceeding to finish 37 seconds ahead.
He joins a roster of illustrious riders to have won stages in all three of the grand tours.
We salute Richie and the team. You deserve this.

Introducing our new artist collection, designed in collaboration with renowned artist and cyclist Yoon Hyup. Yoon’s minimalistic style using dots and dashes creates a vibrant perspective on cityscapes including his hometown, Seoul and current residence, New York City. Drawing upon landscapes he’s observed from the saddle, Yoon has worked with Rapha to apply his unique artistic style to a small collection of our most well loved pieces.
We sat down with Yoon to find out a bit more about how art and cycling feed his creative energy.

, the Manx Missile, has done it. He has surpassed the great Eddy Merckx to become the only rider in the history of the Tour to claim 35 stage wins. Incroyable.
From everyone at Rapha, we’d like to salute Mark and this glorious achievement. Chapeau, Sir Mark!
A grand day out for , safely delivering their GC man into the streets of Turin and into the yellow jersey. The Olympic champion and Giro winner is, as always, looking good. Tomorrow’s mountain stage will be a tall challenge but an opportunity to defend the jersey with some ‘proper’ climbs including the legendary Col du Galibier. Monsieur Carapaz and the boys in pink – we’re with you. Allez allez!
Ciao Alberto! It’s all aboard the WorldTour’s grandest locomotive, departing from Florence on Saturday. Beginning with two punchy Italian stages ending and starting on the Adriatic coast and the birthplace of Marco Pantani. The race will then hurtle back to the motherland through the Alps for a clockwise tour of L’Hexagone. With a Champagne Gravel stage conveniently situated ahead of the first rest day, a romp through the Massif Central, plus a steep weekend in the Pyrenees – interspersed with nerve-jangling sprint stages – this is another audacious itinerary for The Planet’s best riders.
If that wasn’t enough to get you dancing on your pedals, the race will rumble on into the Maritime Alps for a grand finale in Provence. Yes, for the first time in its history, the world’s grandest stage race will not be finishing in Paris. Instead, the race will conclude on the Côte d’Azur, a 180º plot twist that could go right down to the final day’s individual time trial into Nice. Zut alors! It’s going to be ginormous.
Plus! Don’t forget to enter the RAPHA PREDICT–TOUR competition. Enter before the race departs at 11am BST on Saturday to win Rapha prizes. Head to the linkinbio to place your bets. Allez! Allez!

A vision to put our hot weather riding apparel to the ultimate test by sending two riders to cross the barren, windswept, and sand-blasted Mojave Desert in a day. A simple idea, but one that took us on an uncontrollable ride. One that reminded us you can only set a ride into motion, but once you are on it, the vision always changes.

People from East Africa know the impact that sport can bring. But to build a legacy, it is not about the performance of individuals, it is made with unity and collective strength. One team – timu moja. This ambition is about teamwork, trust and continuing to realise the vision of co-founder and captain, the late Sule Kangangi. The feeling is right, their time is now. These hoop dreams are real.

know no bounds, so we created designs to honour their ambition. Inspired by the wildlife of East Africa, the process used to create these jerseys mirrored that of the hand-painted matatus of Nairobi, a creative approach that broke the mould of our traditional design process.
As a week-long celebration of our partnership with this pioneering team we will launch four designs over four days, starting with RCC early access to the AMANI Pro Team Aero Jersey on Monday.

Pantani per sempre.
“He put himself onto the drops, clicked another gear on and made a start. What followed was a form of uphill slalom.”
A quarter-of-a-century on from Marco Pantani’s most promethean exploit on stage 15 of the 1999 Giro d’Italia, award-winning sports writer Herbie Sykes flashes back to recall how Il Pirata captivated a nation during cycling’s most explosive era. The scene for stage two of this year’s race, Pantani’s blistering ride over Monte Oropa in ‘99 was his last great act: Dropping his chain, he proceeded to perform one of the sport’s greatest counter-attacks.

The Gazzetta Gilet is a modern reworking of an iconic Rapha design from 2008. Like the original, it honours the pink sports newspaper that founded Il Giro, a design inspired by resourceful riders using copies of La Gazzetta to stuff into the front of their jerseys for insulation on mountain descents.
As the organisers of the Tour did with their maillot jaune, La Gazzetta imbued its pink pages upon the Giro leader’s jersey in 1931. These flamboyant yarns have since been fought over by riders from across the globe. The allure of pink is very much woven into the fabric of Rapha too. Since 2004 it has been part of Rapha’s own defining aesthetic and for that – and the great race itself – we have La Gazzetta to thank.
