So this was my first shoot in 2018 and we absolutely rocked it! It was great to shoot with Erik, such a polite young gentleman and great talent in front of the lens.

After a few months break from photography I wanted to get going again. Wanted to do some no-nonsense straightforward portraits.

On sunday I attended to a shootingday arranged by JayJay.

We shot in the Treptower Park in Berlin and I had the honour to shoot with Julia and LillyFee Cosplay. This was fun and I am happy to have met some old friends and new ones as well. Big thanks to everybody involved!

August afternoon in Helsinki.

I spent few days in Helsinki and had again the opportunity to shoot with Anna Maria Nylund and Jussi Lopperi Photography. This time we headed to Vanhankaupunginkoski in Viikki district - and had again some fun while shooting.

New portrait work with Bianca. Berlin 08/2017

One of my favourite locations in Berlin: Tegel. Plenty of all kinds of backdrops to choose from modern to vintage, waterfront and whatnot are in offer there - even a British telephone box as well.

Our second shoot in Porvoo, Finland. We used beautiful former warehouses as a backdrop and did a quick summer themed shoot.

Thanks for our lovely model Laura Siemek who showed up in no time after a "let me just take a shower and I am on my way"-kind of booking.

And thanks for Jussi Lopperi Photography for organizing these two shoots in Porvoo, lending me a camera (I shot these with Jussi's Nikon D700 + 50mm 1.8 and 80-200 2.8), heating up the sauna and letting me sleep at your place.

These two shoots we did in two days were fun, I even maybe learned some new tips and tricks and would do this kind of shoot again with you guys. Let's see if I can find some bargain flights soon!

I have been shooting quite much this summer and editing & posting lags a bit behind but here we go!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I tend to shoot with Model Tini once a year and it is always fun. This time we shot at her place in window light. And as always, her eyes are stunning.

This was a shoot we did a while ago with Miss Yaya on film. I shot them with my Nikon FE and 50mm lens on Kodak Tri-X and Portra 400 film stock. Scanned by MeinFilmLab.

So my holiday in Finland is over and I am back in Berlin (and available for shootings, hint hint). So for a while I will be editing and posting the "vacation photos" and I will begin with this one.

Jussi Lopperi Photography organized a great location near Porvoo, an abandoned paper mill to shoot in. We needed something with a roof as it was raining quite heavily (Finnish summer, you know) and after some phone calls and some targeted moves of a bulldozer we had access to this beautiful old mill with opportunities after another.

As a model we had talented Anna Maria Nylund who was a joy to work with, we really had a blast for the few hours we spent in the mill.

I have not been updating so much lately but I have some new interesting stuff in the Pipeline.

I am currently having a holiday in Finland and I used the opportunity to shoot in an abandoned paper mill in Porvoo. BTS of our model Ansku and my friend Jussi shooting.

I tend to shoot with Model Tini once a year. This year's shoot was available light stuff at her place in a really beautiful window light. And as always it was a pleasure to work with her! Appreciate!

Before Pipsa flew back to Finland we headed out to the streets and made a mini portrait session on Monday morning.

She played some tunes with her Ukulele for the commuters near Kranzler-Eck and looked over her shoulder, leaving Berlin behind.

Second one with dancer Mike Fiech in Wedding, Berlin. Might as well be one of the best shots I have ever made.

Shot on Kodak Portra 400 Film. Just love the tones of that stock... Easiest way to get the look of film is to... shoot film.

"Keep it simple, stupid" seems to be the best way to work for me. I like these quiet, simple portraits in available light. And Berlin is full of great opportunities to bend, sculpt and form with available light and great backdrops - as can be seen at the Wollankstraße Station.

I had the opportunity to work with professional dancer Mike Fiech today. It was great fun and I am grateful I had him as a model. More to come, stay tuned!

Rainy day downtime. Looking through archives and doing some keywording etc. This gem has completely flown under my radar.

This was a funny shoot anyway. As Berliners know, Görlitzer Park has...hmm... kind of vibrant feeling. I did actually fear that we get some amount of harassment, molesting if not beating. But no. At the end one guy came to us and asked: "Did everything go well, nobody bothered you, did you have a good time? Did you get good pictures and feel good?"

So here we go again!

I was visiting the InnovationArt premises in Berlin Charlottenburg and had the opportunity to create some photos with Anitra & - the incredible creative duo behind Innovation Art. We did some more classic portraits and some fun stuff as well.
