I know I said I'd quit electronic music, but the Gods of Music sent Not Me But Us my way, and I was lucky to hear them live. So, if you need good quality music, they just released their debut LP. Go check their Spotify and YouTube.

Woman photographer in the music and fashion industries, my personal experiences:

1) Does it make a difference to be a man or woman photographer?
No. Anyone can learn the technique. It's just a physical job where you to carry heavy gear.

2) Have I ever used the fact that I am a female to get a photo?
Yes. When I was 15, I travelled alone in EU to 10k people techno parties. I asked the security if I could get on stage to get the photo of a DJ. They accepted as I was the only person with a camera (early 90s). That's how I met all the electronic scene.

3) Was I ever physically assaulted while doing a photography job.
Yes. My 1st Paris Fashion Week. A photographer kicked me in the back as he didn't want me to sit in the photo pit. I asked why. He said because he was working there. I replied me too. I found out he assumed I was a blogger because a young female couldn't be a professional photographer.

4) Do male photographers treat you differently if you're a female?
No. Photographers treat you as an equal depending on your gear.

5) Is being a female giving you more opportunities?
No. You get those from your experience, work and attitude.

6) Have I ever been sexually assaulted during a photo job?
Not during a photo job.

7) Do photographers or your models flirt with you?
Yes. Photographers date each other a lot.

8) Is there a rule I follow as a female photographer?
Yes. I never touch my models.

9) Have I witnessed predator behavior in some photographers?
Yes. Only from some male photographers.

10) Is there a situation where being a female photographer is annoying?
Yes. Every time I go to a camera shop. The sales man always mansplain me how my own camera works. Or they'll answer my male partner if I ask a technical question.

Happy birthday Martin L Gore 🤍🖤 That day .be told me: "Martin Gore is behind you" and I said "yeah, right" and I turned around...
Then it was all a blur, I think I told him something stupid like "Martin, thank you for everything since always". Now the advantage of being a fan saying stupid things is that you make them smile. And you get the photo.
Then I was shaking for 30 minutes and I couldn't say a word.
