To keep up with orders and stay safe, we moved allll the candle making essentials home 💪 ofc everything was thoroughly inspected upon arrival 😸

Delicate times call for difficult decisions, and believe me this wasn’t an easy decision. I’m sure like many other small business owners this is going to severely impact our livelihood, but at the end of the day it’s lives at stake.

Despite all of this, I’m pretty excited to explore a few projects I’ve been meaning to get to, but couldn’t due to manning the shop. I hope you can find solace and take this time to discover some new hobbies.

Speaking coffee (and a justified need for a caffeine IV), have you ever wondered if smelling coffee between sampling perfumes actually works as a legit palate cleanser? ⁠

Very anticlimactic but yes, it does! Smelling a strong substance like coffee works as a constant which helps you accurately perceive differing scents, whereas if you smelled normal air, you don't have that anchor to refer to when distinguishing the intensity of each sample. ⁠

SO key takeaway: when in doubt, huff coffee.

Have you been to the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus?⁠ It's one of our fav concrete architectural structures in Berlin⁠. ⁠

The building is named after Marie Elisabeth Lüders, who was a celebrated German women’s rights activist and politician, and is part of the city’s parliamentary complex. The Modernist-style masterpiece, which is one of the largest scale projects in post-Cold War Germany, recalls the imposing concrete structures of Berlin’s Socialist era. ⁠⁠

Our candle making workshops will resume back to normal hours starting on Wednesday. We have only one spot left so come and get your smell on!

Everyone has a different version of what the sea smells like. from sea salt to driftwood to bergamot and even oysters. being the last one the least pleasant but none of them wrong ... there is a whole bunch of smells that you can get out of just one single thing in the world if you just pay attention 👃⁠

All you need is love or a scented candle ... I guess finding the second one is easier. 🙊 We wish you all a happy Valentine´s day whether you’re single, or happily taken⁠ 🖤⁠

Scents are kinda like time machines because the right ones can transport you to another place or time. When we create a fragrance, we're basically taking a walk down memory lane the second the candle is lit. ⁠

We know how exciting it is to get your candle, BUT if it was freshly made, you gotta give it some time to cure. Best is one week, so just enjoy that smell a little longer!

We LOVE the process of filling our concrete vessels with gold because the shine really brings them to life 💫

Goldstruck will always be a personal fav, especially when contrasted with the industrial aesthetic of concrete.
