All of the big(ger), and most of the smaller film manufacturers are investing significantly in their factories, production machinery and R&D.
With the clear intention to keep film alive and kicking in the long term 😎:
- Harman technology / Ilford Photo: see article below
- ADOX is investing every earned cent in its new factory, updated equipment, R&D and new products
- Fujifilm is currently investing 30 million $ in its instax instant film production
- Eastman Kodak has primarily invested in increasing the capacity of its 35mm film confectioning, to improve availability of its 135 format film types
- Polaroid is permanently investing in increasing production capacity, R&D of their films and new camera models
- also Foma and Film Ferrania are investing in their production equipment and R&D of new products.

Harman Makes Largest Investment in Film Manufacturing Since the 1990s This type of equipment has not been commissioned by film manufacturers since the 1990s.

Developing color film at home is really very easy and cost saving 😎.
