U/P.2, 2024, oil on paper, mounted on wood
30 x 40 cm by Kanta Kimura (.kimura)
Kanta Kimura is a Japanese-German painter based in Berlin, known for his distinctive grid-like paintings that merge layered structures with intense coloring. Kimura’s technique involves applying oil paint and pigments on canvas using compressed air, either through his own breath or an air compressor. This method creates intricate patterns and textures, resulting in surfaces that, despite their three-dimensional appearance, are strikingly flat and level, almost as if printed.
His works are on view as a part of the duo exhibition “Tactile Heritage” at our Berlin Gallery every Saturday from 1-5 pm or on appointment.

Kanta Kimura’s work fascinates the viewer through its perceived depth created by the intricate layering of oil paint through the use of air pressure. In the past he would manipulate the paint solely through the power of his own breath but when a medical emergency prevented him from working with his usual technique he explored the use of pressurized air as well.
He will participate in our upcoming duo show 'Tactile Heritage' on 10.10.24 in Berlin where he will be shown alongside Beatriz Morales. Join us from 6:30 to 9:30 pm that day for an evening of intricate, material and highly haptic art.

Quotes adapted from an interview held as part of an installation in Shenzhen

On 10.10.24 his works will be shown alongside the works of Beatriz morales in their duo exhibition 'Tactile Heritage'. Join us from 6:30-9:30pm for a chance to meet the artists and to see their stunning works in person.

Saudubray‘s decade-long career began with painting but he soon ventured into other visual disciplines including installation and performance. It was only recently that he turned to his oil and brush, feeling inspired to formulate a new visual language by experimenting with alchemy and intuitive gestures. By releasing formal constraints and stripping painting down to its purest and most austere forms, he allows his canvases with their sweeping, undulating shapes and warm, bright colors to come to life.

We are pleased to share with you an interesting excerpt of Artnet’s article: „Simon de Pury on How Soccer Offers Art Its Next Great Crossover Moment - Is the „beautiful game“ the market’s next frontier?
His thinking is aligned with our CEO Dirk Staudinger who recently said in an interview: „For us, it is important to be open and not just follow the linear rules of the art market that sometimes feel like a bubble if you not zoom-out and reflect current cultural changes, changing consumer needs and trends in other adaptable markets Technology, Environment, Society, Politics, Health, Creativity, Sports.“

We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary collaboration with Jamie Oliver (), the renowned British chef and well-known television personality. This partnership has developed into an innovative artistic project that integrates art, food and interior design at his newest location in Berlin Mitte.
A topic of discussion in recent times has been dedicated to the exclusive presentation of works of art in museums and galleries. Thanks to the growing presence of art in public and private spaces such as restaurants, hotels, and urban places, it is no longer necessary to only visit institutions to experience artworks and culture. This trend makes art more accessible and integrated into everyday life, allowing a wider audience to enjoy works of art in less formal and more frequent contexts. This movement can be witnessed internationally with spaces showing a growing interest in being able to enhance their concepts through art.
The impressive neon work by internationally renowned artist (Imagine the Sunset…,2022), spans the entire wall of Jamie Oliver’s new location in Berlin Mitte dining room and makes you experience the sunset all day long.
Fiete has participated in several reowned biennials, including the Venice Biennial (2017) and the Centre Pompidou Metz (2019).

Anneliese Schrenk's (*1974 in Weiz, Austria) art features textured leather hides mounted on stretchers, challenging traditional notions of beauty and art. Through experimental processes like washing and molding, she transforms the hides into organic forms, evoking a sense of vulnerability and spirituality.
