Very clearly born to break the mold, Jarrett was raised Mormon in southern Georgia by his Western Samoan mother and African American father. At 18, he moved to Utah to study music at Brigham Young University where he seemingly stumbled into his calling to serenade the masses by receiving the opportunity to tour North America, Brazil, and Argentina as a member of the BYU Young Ambassadors. Jarrett has forged an endearing love for the great state of Utah and its people and is proud to be a part of Utah's growing legacy of world class talent. He has been featured on Season 8 of American Idol making it to Hollywood week and as one third of the band The Anser on The X Factor USA Season 1, making it to the Top 32. Most recently, using his middle name moniker DeCarl, he has written and sung for international DJ Kaskade on the single 'Aint Gotta Lie". His freshman album "This Life" was beautifully received and has helped the singer build a loyal following in Utah and abroad. It is available for download on all major digital distribution platforms. He is currently developing a collaborative project of wisdom-filled indie-electronica soul music called Lotuswolfe and also working on his much anticipated follow up LP.
