// Did you know I'm also an aspiring author? I have a competition submission deadline at the end of this month, and need some time to do my final edits. So the shop is taking a little break!
Custom order fulfillment will resume on Monday, 22 June. Normal orders (i.e. charms, fabric cuts) will ship next day as usual during this time.
I'll also be using this time (I hope) to update the shop. I have this llama print and a blue and white checkered cherry print to add, plus I want to prototype a couple of products from my looooong project list!
What are your goals for the week?

It's been 3 weeks since I opened my shop and got my first order. Since then, I've had two repeat customers and shipped to five countries - can you believe it?!
This has grown so much faster than I ever imagined and I'm so grateful for each and every customer 🥰

✨NEW✨ Here is my little fun project from Thursday. I had the idea, designed the pattern myself, cut, and sewed all in one evening! Considering that, I think it looks nice and I am really proud of it :) Can you guess what's inside?
It's a folding makeup brush pouch! Partially inspired by my trusty old Baggallini trifold travel kit, which featured the two tying straps.
This will go live in the shop as soon as my most recent order of fabric arrives and I have enough supplies to attempt it again, incorporating the lessons learned from this baby :)

Das Set hat mir viel geholfen - ich hatte vorher absolut KEINE Nähzubehör zuhause, also von null habe ich alles in einem Gang bekommen! Es sieht auch super chic aus - die lila/rosa Farbkombination gefällt mir sehr!

I offer two different styles of fastenings! --

✅ Flat 5mm elastic band for simple ear loops

✅ Round elastic (pictured) for head and neck fastening. The closed bottom loop rests at the back of the neck, and the elastic ties at the crown of the head. This can easily be hidden in a hairstyle or tucked through the opening of a cap. It has the huge advantage of distributing pressure over more area, and doesn't put any pressure on the ears!

Do you like it, or prefer the normal ear loops?

I use this pattern for all my masks (slight variations for man, woman, and child sizes) because it offers:
✅ Two layers of fabric by default
✅ Option to insert additional filter inside for more protection
✅ Nose tape/wire holds it down for a better fit - perfect for anyone wearing glasses, as this makes them much less likely to fog!

Ich verwende immer dasselbe Muster (in in drei Größen: Mann, Frau, und Kind) für alle Masken, weil es die folgende Vorteile hat:
✅ Standard 2-lagig aus dicker, fester Baumwollstoff
✅ Option einen zusätzlichen Filter im Innenbereich hinzuzufügen
✅ Abdichtung im Nasenbereich = Anti-Beschlag, also für Brillenträger super geeignet
