Sabine Kühlich & Laia Genc are celebrated as a master class duo – internationally acclaimed from Germany to Brazil and Africa. They present the songs of the Dave Brubeck Quartet with voice, saxophone and piano. New interpretations and musical connotations find their way into the quartet’s own sound. Laia Genc and Sabine Kühlich are also composers themselves, following in the footsteps of jazz history.

The award-winning singer and composer Alma Naidu is one of the most interesting musicians on the German jazz scene. She has been honored with the BMW Welt Young Artist Jazz Award and the Kurt Maas Jazz Award, among others. In 2021 she received the Bavarian Art Advancement Prize.

With their rich sound and a repertoire of jazz, bossa nova and acoustic pop music, IndigoJazzlounge creates an elegant and lively atmosphere. For almost two decades, the first-class singer and trumpeter has been delighting audiences with handmade music at the intersection of jazz, soul and blues. In recent years, jazz singer Jeff Cascaro has popularized soul jazz in Germany like no other. Now he is turning to classic jazz with the same passion, but remains true to a bluesy basic coloration in his selection of songs and ballads. Tom Gaebel gilt seit jeher als Mann für die große Bühne. Er singt die großen Songs und er singt sie mit den großen Besetzungen, mit Big Band oder Orchester. So kennt und liebt man ihn seit er 2005 auf einen Schlag durch Stefan Raabs „TV TOTAL“ in die deutsche Musiklandschaft katapultiert wurde. Damals tat er es seinem großen Vorbild nach und sang sich auf Frank Sinatras Spuren in die Herzen seines Publikums, das ihn seit nunmehr 16 Jahren, acht Alben und unzähligen Konzerten im In- und Ausland begleitet. Am 8. November verzaubert er als musikalischer Gast der Reihe „Jazz & Bubbles“ das Publikum bei uns im .

20.9.23: Jazz & Bubbles feat. Maya Fadeeva im Düsseldorf!

Sängerin, Songwriterin und Produzentin Maya Fadeeva steht für einen besonderen Stilmix aus Vintage und Moderne – sie kreiert Musik völlig frei von Mode und Konventionen. Virtuos kombiniert sie eingängige Melodien mit Jazz-Elementen, Blues und Soul. Fadeeva ist in St. Petersburg geboren, verbrachte zwei Jahre ihrer Kindheit in New York und kam mit 11 Jahren nach Deutschland, wo sie aktuell lebt. Ihr Jazzstudium absolvierte sie in den Niederlanden. Als „Diamanten“ und „Highlights des Jahres“ wurden ihre Alben in der Fachpresse gefeiert und erreichen weltweite Radiopräsenz.

Sebastian Gahler ist Pianist, Keyboarder und Komponist. Sein Studium an der Musikhochschule Köln schloss er mit Auszeichnung ab. Aufenthalte in den USA prägten schon früh seinen Stil. Sein Trio ist fester Bestandteil der deutschen Jazzszene. Aktuell tourt er mit dem “Two Moons“ Quartett und stellt sein gleichnamiges Erfolgsalbum vor. Jazz thing nannte ihn einen der “faszinierendsten Jazzpianisten Deutschlands”.

Diese Ausgabe von Jazz & Bubbles ist eine Hommage an die Blütezeit des Jazz. Mit Hits von Künstlern wie Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock und Art Blakey darf das Publikum in die Zeit der Blue Note Era eintauchen. Zu Gast ist der US-amerikanische Trompeter Ryan Carniaux. Geboren in New York City, spielte er bereits als Jugendlicher in verschiedenen Bands, unter anderem im Jazzorchester von John Allmark. Mit einem Stipendium studierte er am renommierten Berklee College of Music in Boston, später am Conservatorium Maastricht, Niederlande. Neben seiner heutigen Hochchultätigkeit an der Folkwang Universität der Künste arbeitet Carniaux als freiberuflicher Trompeter. Er spielte bereits mit vielen bekannten Jazzgrößen aus Europa und den USA, u.a. Manfred Schoof, Gerd Dudek, David Liebman und Jerry Bergonzi.
