Dr. Buba hat anfang des Jahres ein eigenes Krankenhaus übernommen. Die Ocean Medical Clinic durfte ich bereits im März mir angucken und versprach Dr. Buba mit Sachspenden zu unterstützen.
Er war sehr erfreut, als unser Container ankam und hat sogar eine liebevolle Nachricht per WhatsApp geschickt, die ich gerne teilen möchte ❤️🙏🏻

Dr. Buba took over his own hospital at the beginning of the year. I was allowed to visit the Ocean Medical Clinic in March and promised to support Dr. Buba with donations.

Viele Fragen sich an was wir als Verein arbeiten und was für Ziele "Give Life a Hope" hat.

Unser Ziel ist es Arbeitsplätze in Gambia zu schaffen, den Menschen eine Perspektive geben und Aufklärung/Bildung ist ein ganz wichtiges Thema.

Ich möchte gerne unsere Projekte, an denen wir arbeiten, teilen.

Ein Traum ist es irgendwann noch ein eigenes Krankenhaus und Schule zu bauen.
Aber zuerst konzentrieren wir uns auf den Bau unserer Hühnerfarm mit Agraranbau.
Somit geben wir den Menschen vor Ort arbeit und einen festen Arbeitsplatz.

Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir die Schulgebühren für 4 Schulkinder zusammen bekommen haben.
Ich wollte mal ein Beispiel mit euch teilen für eine Schule und deren Jahresgebühren.
Es handelt sich hier um eine Privatschule, 8 Klasse und die Gebühr beträgt 10.700 Dalasi, was ca 163€ sind.
Insgesamt fehlen noch Gelder für 5 Schulkinder und ich hoffe, wir können diese Familien noch unterstützen ❤️

‼️Schulpaten für unsere Kinder in Gambia gesucht

Nicht nur in Deutschland enden bald die Sommerferien, sondern auch in Gambia und ab nächsten Monat gehen die Schulen wieder los.
Viele Familien wissen nicht, wie sie die Schulgebühren bezahlen sollen, da durch steigende Lebensmitteilpreisen das Geld knapp ist.

Das Schulsystem ist ähnlich, wie bei uns in Deutschland. In Gambia gibt es auch die staatlichen und die privaten Schulen bzw. Kindergärten.
Dort gilt das gleiche wie in Deutschland, dass die privaten Schulen deutlich teurer sind als die staatlichen Schulen oder Kindergärten.
Zudem kommt es noch darauf an, in welchem Schulgrad und Klasse das Kind sich befindet. Give Life a Hope hat Kinder, die in die Nursery, Primery, Secondary oder High School gehen (private und staatliche Schule).

Wichtig ist, dass die Kinder eine gute Schulausbildung erhalten, um sich zu Bilden und somit eine bessere Zukunft haben. Talente können durch die Schule gefördert werden, Lehrer bringen ihnen die englische Sprache
bei, es gibt regelmäßige Test/Examen und Zeugnisse werden ausgestellt.

Die jährliche Schulgebühr beinhaltet zusätzlich die Schuluniform inkl. Schuhe und die Schulbücher.

Wie könnt IHR unterstützen? Wie bereits erwähnt haben wir Kinder, wo unterschiedliche Schulgebühren anfallen.
Von daher würde Give Life a Hope die gespendete Summe nehmen und entsprechen aufteilen, damit wir so vielen Kindern wie möglich die Möglichkeit geben können, die Schule weiter zu besuchen oder eingeschult zu werden.
Die Kosten belaufen sich angefangen von 20-270€ pro Schulgebühr im Jahr (wie ihr seht, große Unterschiede). Deswegen sagen wir immer, jeder Euro zählt.

Möchtet ihr ein Kind komplett unterstützen, eine Patenschaft für ein Kind übernehmen?, dann sprecht mich bitte direkt an.
Wir stellen sicher, dass ihr dieses Kind kennenlernt per Videoanruf und können euch regelmäßig informieren, wie das Kind sich in der Schule entwickelt oder Briefe schreiben.

‼️Sponsors needed for our children in Gambia

Next month the summer holidays are ending in Gambia and school starts again.
Many families don’t know how to pay the school fees, as money is scarce due to rising food prices.

The school system is like the one we have in Germany. In Gambia there are also the government and the private schools or kindergartens.
Same as in Germany, the private schools are much more expensive than the government schools or kindergartens.
In addition, it depends on which grade and class the child is in. Give Life a Hope has children who go to Nursery, Primary, Secondary or High School (private and government school).

It is important that the children receive a good school education so that they can be educated and have a better future. Talents can be supported by the school, teachers teach them the English language,
there are regular exams and they hand out certificates.

The annual school fee also includes the school uniform, required shoes and the schoolbooks.

How can YOU support? As mentioned before, we have children with different school fees.
Therefore, Give Life a Hope would take the amount donated and divide it accordingly so that we can give as many children as possible the opportunity to continue or go into school.

The school fee range from 20-270€ per year (as you can see, big differences). That's why we always say every Euro count.

Viele meiner Freunde keine Vorstellung, wie es in Gambia aussieht und stellen sich Straßen oder Geschäfte wie in Europa vor. Man kann sich kaum vorstellen, dass die Straßen oder Gehwege aus Sand bestehen. Viele Sachen die am Straßenrand verkauft werden, sind durch den aufgewirbelten Sand eingestaubt.
Ich habe gedacht ich teile mit euch mal ein paar Bilder mit euch ☺️

Last year I met Lamin Kopmans in The Gambia and we had a chat about supporting each other and share ideas. In the past months and weeks we exchanged more ideas how to support people facing hard times due to the current financial crisis. This affects Africa because the biggest supplier of flour is the Ukraine and India is not delivering rice (broken rice) anymore.

Lamin and I want to help the needy, support the kids and find a way that every child has the opportunity to go to school. His wife who is a nurse can help to share donations to the hospital she is working for.

It is always good to see when the donations arrive in The Gambia. The coach Rappa of the football academy "Niro" was so happy, that he gave me a personal call to thank for the support.

Happy news were that his team won a match on this day they used our jerseys. So maybe a lucky charm 😄

I am proud that we are still able to get and give support during these hard times we are facing all at the moment. Together we can do it ❤️

These days we shared medical donations with our cooperated hospital named "Sehn-Gam Clinic for Africa in Jambanjilly.

Zudem verbessert es die Gesundheit durch reduzierte Krankheiten.

It was an overwhelming moment to meet the team from the Niro Legacy Gambia Football Academy. I support the football academy since 1,5 years and it so nice to see how they develop and stay motivated.

Ramadan – Zeit zum Teilen
Ramadan, der Monat der Barmherzigkeit, des Segens und der Vergebung und gilt als heiliger Monat.
Gerade in der jetzigen Situation mit dem europäischen Krieg, wird es noch schwerer für Menschen in Drittländern wie Afrika. Russland und die Ukraine sind Hauptlieferant für Mehl nach Afrika. Nicht nur, dass kein Mehl für Brot gebacken werden kann, es werden auch Preiserhöhungen erwartet, wovon die Menschen in Afrika noch nichts wissen.
Bitte denkt an unsere Drittländer, die auch dringend unsere Unterstützung brauchen!

Aus diesem Grund hoffe ich, dass wir zum Ramadan Spenden zusammen bekommen, um den Menschen in Gambia ein schönes und sorgenfreies Fest zu ermöglichen.
Im letzten Jahr konnten wir 10 Familien mit den Grundnahrungsmitteln ausstatten und hoffe, dass wir das dieses Jahr wieder schaffen werden mit EURER Hilfe ❤️

It was a great moment to meet doctor Babou in February who is working for the “Sehn-Gam Clinic for Afica”.
Dr. Babou took a lot of time and showed me the entire hospital. He explained what his goals are and in which kind of areas he is specialised.

It is a small and peronal hospital where there is a pharmacy inclued. I was able to see a part of our donated medicines, bed pads, wheelchairs, etc.
What I really appriciated was that Dr. Babou assured that all donations getting hand out without payment to the patients. This made me very happy and proud because this is “Give Life a Hope” goal.
He told me that he that our donations are very welcomed and needed.

In our chat I told him that more doantions are already on the way to The Gambia. He was speechless when I told him that two packages of Hearing Aids, more wheelchairs, baby food and medicine will arrive soon.

I have a good and positive feeling to support this hospital because I felt that Dr. Babou is a doctor with passion ❤️

Viele meiner Freunde und Bekannten fragen mich, warum ich mich so um die Menschen in Gambia kümmere and arrangiere.
Die Frage ist leicht zu beantworten… es ist die Dankbarkeit die sie für einen haben. Dankbarkeit was wir hier in Deutschland gar nicht mehr kennen und erleben.

Als ich meinem Mann erzählt habe wie es war in Gambia empfangen zu werden, als deren Held nur weil man etwas teilt was wir im Überfluss haben. Dieses Gefühl kann man gar nicht beschreiben oder die strahlenden Augen der Menschen und Kinder.
Das ist die größte Motivation für mich, mein Projekt „Give Life a Hope“ weiterzuverfolgen und für dieses Glück zu kämpfen ❤️

Many of my friends are asking me why I care so much about the people of Gambia. The question is easy to answer... it's the gratitude they have for you. Gratitude that we no longer know and experience here in Germany.

When I told my husband how they welcomed me in The Gambia it was like I am their hero just because we share something that we have too much in Germany. This feeling cannot be described or to look into the shining eyes of people and children.
This is the biggest motivation for me to continue my project "Give Life a Hope" and to fight for more happiness in this world ❤️

Juhu🥳 Endlich sind die Schultafeln angekommen, die wir im September nach Gambia geliefert haben!
Sie wurden von unserem Give Life a Hope Team Gambia an die Jamisa Lower Basic School in Brikama aufgebaut und aufgestellt.

Die Tafeln wurden von der Montessori Schule in Erding gespendet und die Schule hat sich auch mit 500€ an den Transportkosten beteiligt! Dafür nochmal ein herzliches Dankeschön 👏

Dank unserer tollen Zusammenarbeit mit Sabrina von der Flüchtlingshilfe Erding, konnten wir so eine tolles Projekt auf die Beine stellen.

Warum ist es so wichtig ein gutes und großes Netzwerk für eine gemeinnützige Organisation aufzubauen?
Organisationsnetzwerke sind wirksame, informelle Beziehungen zwischen anderen Organisationen, Unternehmen aller Ebenen und Bereiche, in denen Wissen und Ideen ausgetauscht werden. Sie ergänzen und vervollständigen als eine zweite, parallele Ebene, die formale Organisations- und Projektstruktur, auf der wesentliche Kommunikation und Kooperation stattfindet.
Es ist nicht nur wichtig ein Netzwerk in Deutschland aufzubauen, es geht auch darum die Kontakte in Gambia zu nutzen und auszubauen.
Denn nur gemeinsam können wir viel erreichen ❤️

Why is it so important to build a good and strong network for a non-profit organization?
Organizational networks are effective, informal relationships between other organizations, companies at all levels, and areas where knowledge and ideas are shared.
They complement and complete as a second, parallel level, the formal organizational and project structure, on which essential communication and cooperation takes place.
It’s not only important to build up a network in Germany, but also about using and expanding the contacts in Gambia.
Because only together can we achieve a lot ❤️

I’m overwhelmed for the amazon donations from Foodsharing Kreis Offenbach. Special thanks to Antje Kajnath & Wolfgang Meyer for the babyfood, milk powder and oil. On the 4th of September we ship the donations to Gambia. The donations are going to needed people and bring some baby milk powder to some hospitals for the newborns ❤️
