We had a great time at the summer party organised by our parent company q.beyond AG last Thursday in Hamburg. 🍹🍴🕺

Many of our colleagues from the German team were able to attend and made the best of the evening, getting to know each other within the group of companies and engaged in discussions on various current topics. The cloudburst at the beginning did not affect the mood and it was great that we were all invited to be part of it! 😊

The three-day Barcelona (11-13 June 2024) was undoubtedly one of the top events for our SAP experts (pictured l. to r.) Narendra Lanje (SAP Solution Architect), Thorsten Miehe (Department Manager SAP Applications) and Michael Gröschel (SAP BI Solution Architect), who took part for logineer.

Under the title "Bring out the best in your business", the major congress trade fair for customers and partners focussed on how the software group's innovative solutions & technologies can be used in the best possible way to further develop the business of IT service providers and users.

As is currently the case everywhere in the industry, artificial intelligence took centre stage at SAP this year - SAP Business . In their keynote speech, SAP CEO Christian Klein and CMSO Julia White explained how SAP is using generative AI across its entire portfolio to revolutionise business processes and end user experiences. The new SAP AI assistant Joule was also discussed in detail at the conference.

What is new is the Clean Core: SAP's aim is to reduce the amount of custom code, which is often an obstacle for customers with very complex ERP systems when migrating to S/4HANA.

📌 SAP BTP: This business technology platform combines data and analyses, artificial intelligence, application development, automation and integration in a standardised environment. It gives development teams everything they need to quickly connect, extend and enrich business-critical business processes.

📌 SAP Datasphere: The open data ecosystem provides an end-to-end service for data integration, data cataloguing, semantic modelling, data warehousing, data federation and data virtualisation. This allows business-critical data to be easily distributed across a company's data landscape while retaining the business context and logic. SAP Datasphere is also the basis for SAP's Business Data Fabric, a data management architecture that supports cross-system and cross-application data connections in real time.

As an IT service provider for , we work for freight forwarders who have offices all over the world. From time to time, we support them on site. 🚢✈️

Recently, Christian Wolken and Kathiresan Sivapunniyam, both IT experts from logineer's network division, were on the road in to two customer locations. They were responsible for installing new hardware there. Their task: to ensure secure data traffic and thus promote communication and data security. We are pleased to see our workplace- and Office-IT products running smoothly within schedule considering the regional requirements. 👨‍💻🖥️

The special thing: Christian normally works at the logineer headquarters in Hamburg, Kathiresan in our Indian office in Chennai. Teams at both locations work on the important topic of infrastructure. Christian says: "We are used to working in a multinational team, so we approach the work in a very similar way and understand each other very well. But it was great that we were both able to meet in person for the first time on this occasion." 🚀

As it was also the first trip to China for both of them, they spent their free time together exploring the sights of and the technology mega-metropolis . They were particularly impressed by the hospitality of their Chinese customer contacts - and by how modern the country is when it comes to electromobility.

Even in times of it is still important to meet face to face now and again.

For Thorsten this was the first opportunity to meet his India based team in person.

Eine großartige Möglichkeit für uns als IT-Dienstleister der Logistik, die neuesten Diskussionen zu erleben, dazuzulernen und uns zu vernetzen! Für uns vor Ort war unser Business Development Manager Sultan Kakar, der vor allem diese Aspekte spannend fand:

𝑴𝒊𝒕 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏: Fehlt eine IT-Strategie, müssen Unternehmen mit heftigen inneren Widerständen gegen die digitale Transformation rechnen. Sultan Kakar: „Ein gutes Konzept legen wir unseren Kunden immer wieder ans Herz und wir unterstützen sie gerne dabei!“

𝑫𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆: Bei der Vielzahl der Ansätze, was man denn unter dem digitalen Workplace zu verstehen hat, gibt es doch einen Konsens: Es geht immer darum, flexible oder hybride Arbeitsmöglichkeiten zu ermöglichen. „Als wesentlicher Bestandteil des logineer Portfolios ist der Workplace für uns extrem wichtig!“

𝑲ü𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒛: Sie wird in Zukunft nicht mehr wegzudenken sein - da waren sich Speaker aus der Wirtschaft, Forschung und Politik einig. „Spannend war, was Justizminister Dr. Marco Buschmann als einer der Topredner dazu sagte: Zwei von acht Arbeitsstunden könnten durch KI ersetzt werden.“

𝑲𝑰 𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒕: Will man künstliche Intelligenz im Unternehmen einsetzen, sollte dies stets von Sicherheitsprüfungen begleitet werden. Das betrifft sowohl IT-Sicherheit als auch rechtliche Aspekte. Sultan Kakar: „Interessant war der Hinweis, wie man mit Chatbots im Kundenservice umgehen sollte. Auf keinen Fall dürfen sie diskriminierende Aussagen oder Fehlinformationen produzieren.“

👉 Der Weg von Hamburg in die Hauptstadt hat sich für den Business Developer auf jeden Fall gelohnt hat: „Ich nehme zahlreiche Anregungen für unsere Arbeit als IT-Dienstleister und Berater unserer Kunden mit, und sehe auch, dass wir mit unseren Themen schon auf einem guten Weg sind.“
