I love singing mantras. The vibration of the sound finds a direct way into my hear and soul. I love to practice yoga with mantras or chant them in my everyday life. One of my favorite mantras ist the following: Chattra Chakkra Vartee, Chattra Chakkra Bhugatay, Suyambhav Subhang Sarab Daa Saraab Jugatay. Dukaalan Pranasee, Diaalang Saroopay, Sadaa Ang Sangay, Abhangang Bibhutaay It's part of the Jaap Sahib and a mantra against fear. Yogi Bhajan said about it: "Chattr Chakkr Vartee is the mantra for the heart center, it gives direct energy to it. Look what I found today beside my yogamat - my third eye or: my ajna chakra 👁😄 Sometimes I overthink situations too much - when I am stressed, when I have a lot on my to-do-list and when I don't want to let go but want to control everything. I analyze, calculate and want to find a solution from my analytic mind. Even when I just know the „truth“ I often don’t trust myself, my deeper knowledge, my intuition. But I should. Because most of the times when I decided against my intuitive knowledge and focused on my analytic mind - I eventually find out that my intuitive feeling was correct. Example: I hear someone is telling a „great“ story but deep inside I know: this it’s not true. Instead of trusting my instincts I feel bad and question myself. It’d be better to delve deeper and to connect with my deeper knowledge. Because all the answers are already there. The best way to connect with my intuitive wisdom is to become calm and clear. I can reach this state of meditation and calmness when I go for a walk in the nature, when I watch the clouds go by, the waves break at the beach or when I play with my little son... Meditation can be practiced everywhere - I just need to find something that helps me to come into a state of flow. Wow - time runs sooo fast! Yesterday we came back from Thailand and today it's february and spring is near. A good time for me to check my new years resolutions: Do more yoga, relax more, eat better food, have more sleep… Can you relate: After the first weeks of the new year you seem to forget your new years resolutions or they appear to be too challenging? To hang on to my resolutions these points help me a lot: First I check what I REALLY want, what is the most important thing for me to reach. A good way to find this out, is to become still and meditate. I visualize my aim and bring my mind to the aim - how will I feel and how will I be when I finally reached my aim… I also make a list with all my aims - the big ones and also the small ones. This way I don’t loose sight of my aims and I always remember them. You want to learn more? After my holidays in Thailand, where people are so unbelievable friendly and always smiling I was really shocked to come back to Germany. Not only because of the cold and grey weather but of a lot of grumpy people around me. I always think: Please could you smile a little bit more?! Didn’t you know, that „smiling“ is not only fun but has a lot healty benefits? Smiling…reduces stress and pain, produces a lot of feel good hormones, empowers the immunsystem, stimulates hundreds of muscles - from your face till your core-area - like a mini workout and much more!? And the best: Even if you are not in the mood for smiling - DO IT. 2002 a french Psychologist found out that smiling WITOUT any reason has a positive effect also. He organized a study with 96 people from 21 to 28 years old. They had to place a pen in different ways - the one group had to put the pen between the teeth so that they had to smile automatically. With the pen between thier teeth they had to see some videos.
