𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮: 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – This October, we’re addressing one of the most important but often unspoken topics: Sexual Harassment.

Join us on Wed, Oct 30 at Factory Network in Hamburg for a wholehearted Female Leadership Circle* session led by Natascha Djordjević . As an enthusiastic DJ and somatic coach, Natascha is dedicated to ending the stigma and shame surrounding sexual abuse and harassment. She's on the mission to raise awareness and foster conversations on this difficult topic, creating a platform where people can discuss intimate subjects in a judgment-free space.

Feeling disconnected? You’re not alone.

This , let’s break the silence on the issues that isolate us: weakening social ties, growing polarisation, and the taboos that make mental health harder to talk about.

In a society that often leaves us feeling divided or like we don’t belong, creating safer spaces where we can be heard, seen, and valued is more important than ever. We invite you to join us in building communities where everyone feels included—where difficult conversations aren’t just encouraged, but necessary, and wholehearted conversations are not rare, but a part of our daily lives.

As one small step you can take today, gift someone with a smile 🎁😊—whether it’s someone you know, a stranger you pass on the street, or the person behind the counter at the shop. Small acts of kindness can help bridge the gaps of disconnection and create a sense of being seen and valued.

So, let’s start talking. Meaningfully. 💫

👉 Who will you give a smile to today?

It will be a journey of discovering the strength within people and how to fuel that passion.

Following up on our post: How to make your friendships more meaningful 🌟

First, ask yourself:

- What do you cherish in your friendships?
- Where do you want to see growth?
Example: "I'd like us to share more about our dreams and fears."

🚀 Take Initiative:
- Share First: Open up about your dreams and fears to encourage your friend to do the same.
- Ask Questions: Show curiosity about your friend's life. It's okay if they need time to open up. Let them know you value your friendship and are here to listen.

💬 Active Listening & Communication:
- Listen Actively: Give your friend a safe space to share without interrupting. Understanding comes from truly listening.
- Ask Thoughtful Questions: Instead of assuming, ask for clarity. For example, "You mentioned you're unsure about your next steps; want to talk it over?"

💖 Laugh Together: Laughter strengthens bonds! Share jokes, watch a funny video, or reminisce about old times. It’s great to balance serious talks with fun moments.

📅 Schedule It: Regularly check in with your friends. Consistency builds trust and shows you care.

🎉 Be There for All Moments: Celebrate successes and support during tough times. Be a constant in your friend's life.

🎁 Gift Thoughtfully: Small gestures, like a handwritten note or a favourite snack, can show appreciation and make your friend feel valued.

🗣️ Share Your Experiences: Focus on your own feelings and experiences to build genuine connections. For example, instead of commenting on someone's outfit, share how the experience made you feel.

Today is International Friendship Day and, as a part of , we are bringing some great tips on developing new friendships! ✨

1. It starts with you: Discover and Plan
Start by getting to know yourself and what you enjoy. Reflect on your interests and think about how you can share them with others. Write down activities you love and consider ways to do them in a group setting.

Examples:
🎥 Watching movies → Join a film club or attend cinema events with discussions.
⛰ Hiking → Join a hiking club or guided tours.
🎨 Painting → Attend creative workshops.

Use platforms like Meetup, Eventbrite, or local community boards to find opportunities. Choose a few activities to join, sign up, and make sure to attend regularly.
If you can’t find a group that fits your interests, consider starting one!

2. Connect more meaningfully:
Making friends takes time, but having deeper conversations with genuine questions helps. You can try some like:
- "Hi, it’s my first time here. Do you know what usually happens at this event?"
- "What brought you here today?"
- "What’s the most beautiful place nearby that you enjoy?"
- "What’s your favorite activity or spot around here?"

3. Navigating interactions

Embrace who you are, including your quirks and imperfections: they make you interesting. That also means accepting not everyone will be the right connection for you, and that's ok! If you feel uncomfortable or like it isn’t right, it’s okay to move on.
Extra tip: Not everyone may be in a talkative mood; we should always respect that.

Remember
💭 Friendship is a journey. Stay open, be authentic, and enjoy meeting new people along the way!

In Germany, over 21.6 million people experience loneliness regularly. These numbers extend to young adults between 18 and 29, with 1 in 4 claiming they feel lonely often.

Adding to these numbers, around 8.5 million, 10% of the population, feel they don’t belong.

Underrepresented groups, including people with migration backgrounds, disabled individuals, and LGBTQ+ face even higher rates of exclusion and discrimination.

A big problem requires a big solution. And it starts with each of us.

At Kontakt Kollektiv, we believe in fostering belonging to tackle our loneliness problem. Through our events and training, we are sparking the meaningful connections that can shake things around✨

Stay tuned for our next events! 📅
