The very first sketches I did when I took up my art again. My Mom’s classroom pencils. April 2020.
I’m a huge Zenyatta fan. I think she’s just the sexiest Thouroughbred mare ever. I’m sure I will portray her again some time. Hopefully this time round with a bit more finesse 😜

during 2020 lockdown in SA, I did this little sketch of my daughter, Blakeley, in school colored pencils and coffee. Gotta use what you’ve got at hand. The lockdowns were what encouraged me to take up art again.

It was a very special honor to paint this portrait for a friend who’s recently lost her heart horse. The rune symbolizes their eternal love, until they meet again 🦄💕🌈

Aquamarine - something soft and loose to revisit my watercolours between commissions.

Amazing how a good frame adds to a piece. I always love seeing work in situ. Remember that watercolor art need to be properly framed to protect the paper from the elements and in order to ensure the longevity of the artwork.
