Andris Nelsons returns to the Salzburger Festspiele with the Wiener Philharmoniker. As part of the resident orchestra's series of orchestral concerts, Nelsons will conduct two matinee concerts of Mahler's epic 9th symphony. The concerts will take place on 10/11 August at 11:00am 🎼🎻🎶

Nelsons will also appear in this year's "Philharmonic Salon", a series of artist talks taking place in the Great Hall of the University of Salzburg on 9 August.

Australia Highlights:

On 15 July 2024, Slobodeniouk will lead the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra at Seiji Ozawa Hall, featuring works by Julia Perry, Leonard Bernstein, and Igor Stravinsky. Then, on 19 July 2024, he will reunite with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at the Koussevitzky Music Shed, presenting Bernstein's Symphony No. 2 with pianist Conrad Tao and Brahms' Symphony No. 3.

Jaemin Han • 한재민 makes his Japanese debut in less than 30min at the renowned Suntory Hall in Tokyo, as part of a Cello Festival dedicated to the centenary of the legendry Hungarian cellist János Starker.

Han will perform music by Zoltán Kodály alongside fellow cellists, all coming together to honour the memory of the great late master.

Music Director Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) return to Tanglewood, a premier summer music festival. The opening tonight, 5. July features Nelsons and Gil Shaham performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and the "Eroica" Symphony.

Upcoming programs include soloists like Renée Fleming, Yuja Wang, Augustin Hadelich, Emanuel Ax, Yefim Bronfman, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Paul Lewis. Highlights include the BSO's collaboration with the Boston Ballet for Stravinsky’s "Apollon Musagète" and a special concert marking the 150th anniversary of Serge Koussevitzky, the BSO's legendary Music Director and Tanglewood founder.
