CALL for ABSTRACTS EYIEL 2024: ‘International and European Economic Law - Moving Towards Integration? Deadline: 30 November 2023

30/08/2023

As India lands its rover Chandrayan-3 on the moon’s South Pole, it seems perfect timing to announce the publication of our monograph "Crimes in Outer Space: Perspectives from Law and Justice", authored by one of the pioneers of Space Law in India, Professor Gurbachan Sachdeva. Comprising of 12 chapters, the book is part of Springer book series Issues in Space (https://bitly.ws/TtJH), and provides a global look at the incumbent problems, evolves solutions, and makes recommendations regarding space crime situations. It discusses crimes and near-crimes that have previously occurred in space but have been condoned and flags and seeks cogitation on lurking problem of space crimes. Limitations in handling such crimes by the existing judicial system under established doctrines of international law by International Court of Justice or International Criminal Court, is also highlighted. The book has strong take-aways for research scholars, law fraternity, diplomatic corps, judicial administrators, policy-makers and the political class, enabling them to pro-actively initiate action for suitable answers.
