Police brutality is significantly alarming now a days, especially in so called first world country, where they proclaimed that they ensure the security of its residents! But the reality is even more worst - more dark. In August 2022, police were involved in 4 murders in Germany. Before these brutal incidents a news report published on May 2022, which clearly addressed that experts say many victims do not trust Germany’s justice system, government not doing enough to address police violence. According to the experts; migrants, refugees, and black people are often disproportionately affected by police brutality - also police brutality has been a serious problem in Germany, but many cases go unreported or are not properly investigated or punished. Same pattern repeated in France this time as well. 17-years old Nahel murdered by the police on June 27, youth revolted against the racist murder, many protesters got arrested...it's a new world order, brutally oppressed in every layers! Lets join the solidarity rally (Thursday, July 6, in front of Münster Hauptbahnhof) for Nahel, for the people in France - with or without benefit of the doubt!!! Lets just don't forget...

Being part of the working class community, It is also us - students, who are victim of the modern slavery now a days. During our study we struggle with lowest wage that put our life into debt, that we repay rest of our life! Let's come together not to get fu**ed by modern slavery created by the system.

Many students are suffering the worst service by studierendenwerk münster in the dormitories they paid for.
Recently we received several reports from students residing in a dormitory in wilhelmskamp that during weekend elevator doesn’t work! Since several weekends it is happening like this. Students who are living in 5th, 6th or 7th floor they are suffering a lot due to this bad service condition.
Many new students doesn’t have any idea how to react to that! We managed to talk with one student while that student was moving out - the student said, “every weekend elevator doesn’t work, this time it is happening the same while I am moving out! It is so stupid that studierendenwerk doesn’t care for students even though they increased the rent while students had objections considering the fact of inflation and post covid.”
We asked students why they don’t complain about it? In response a student said, “studierendenwerk barely response to the complaint, even though this elevator issue also addressed, but they don’t care at all. If the students raise voice against them, studierendenwerk target them and make them suffer! We know some recent stories how studierendenwerk try to oppress students!”
Undoubtedly, we are also well informed about the oppression of studierendenwerk münster! Now the question is who will solve these issues? AStA - who runs by students money? University? Or State? Since long time no one give a f**k while students are suffering!

It is high time to organise self and fight back to authoritarian oppression.

Yesterday’s :: we were with our leaflets, and banners to inform everyone about the ongoing oppression over student by studierendenwerk. Authority shut the kitchen and common room since over a week!

A student confronted a group of four people who claimed themselves as employees of Studierendenwerk Münster on September 1, 2022, in Wilhemskamp. The student found that confrontation very aggressive and racist! The student said, “it was early morning I was just lying on a couch in our common room and writing email on my phone. At that time four strangers entered our common room. Two of them were male and two of them female. After entering the common room one man asked something in German. I immediately replied that my German isn’t good so if we can talk in a common language. Then that man asked me if I am sleeping there or not! I was so annoyed by the fact of that question that the man already started a conversation with me and if I am sleeping how we started the conversation! But I replied to that man I am not sleeping. After that, the man asked, where is my room, do I live here or not? Due to my privacy, I didn’t want to answer that question the stranger. So, I immediately asked that person about their introduction, and additionally, I asked why they didn’t knock on the door before entering! The stranger immediately switched to German and told me something that I didn’t understand at all. I replied to that man, we were talking in a common language in English why did you switch to German? The man replied, ‘das ist Deutschland’. I asked the man what did he mean by ‘das ist Deutschland’, and the man aggressively said again ‘das ist Deutschland’! I immediately called my floormate. After that, I responded to him that this ‘das ist Deutschland’ is a racist statement and very authoritarian as well. While we were having arguments, one female amongst them introduced herself by showing her name on a badge that contained the Studierendenwerk logo. So that it was obvious that they were the staff from Studierendenwerk. After introducing herself she asked my name and wanted to assure my room. When I told her my name, she didn’t want to talk anymore. Then I realized that the woman was the same who sent us an email by addressing every student as the perpetrator and I formally complained against her but didn’t get any response to that complaint from Studierendenwerk.”

AUTHORITARIAN STUDIERENDENWERK PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED A STUDENT!

On September 9, 2022, one student got physically assaulted by a staff of Studierendenwerk Münster while students asking for an explanation that why they are disposing of all the students’ valuable belongings such as refrigerators, couch, plants, plates, pans, and pots – from common room and kitchen in one of the floors in Wilhelmskamp, mostly resided by international students.

Due to that physical assault, the victim called the police, but the students said that police’s reaction to this act seems like favoring Studierendenwerk. Even though the police didn’t want to take complaints of this criminal offense. After being insisted by the victim police just took a signature in a blank form and assured to report that issue. While this tension going on in the dormitory, another staff came to hand over the termination letter of the room contract to the victim in the presence of police and asked to sign the document. The victim refused to sign and asked for an explanation. But the staff didn’t want to explain and said that the reason was explained in the letter. The victim received the letter in person due to being insisted by a policeman.

After Studierendenwerk disposed of everything, they closed the common room again! Also, they left the kitchen in an unusable situation. All foods were forced to take out from refrigerators of Studierendenwerk and are not allowed to be put in. So that all foods are supposed to be rotten and spoil in a couple of hours, and there is no other option to store foods as Studierendenwerk already disposed of the refrigerators that belong to students.

Studierendenwerk Münster is worsening the situation by abusing its authoritarian power for a long time. Many complaints are addressed by the students, and most of the time they don’t even respond.

Students don’t deserve that brutality and disgraceful life in Germany.

Almost 15 students living on that floor can’t get access to the kitchen, and even can’t get access to their food since yesterday.

While the poster of "1 Euro Soli-Essen" was hung on the noticeboard in Mensa and on the uni campus, this fancy menu has been served in Mensa Am Aasee for the elite class in Münster on the 100-year anniversary of Studierendenwerk at the end of August 2022.

Only the shameful inhuman can swallow those expensive foods, while students are fighting and organizing themselves for affordable food for everyone.

The 100-year anniversary of Studierendenwerk showed us that it is a bloody capitalist corporation - that imposed the rental increase and increased the food price in Mensa during post-pandemic and high inflation in Germany.

Between January to June 2022, almost 6,200 foreigners were deported from Germany. Carrying up to only four persons, close to €600,000 were reportedly spent on controversial 'mini charter flights'. For one or two deportees, the costs of these chartered flights reportedly amounted to over €100,000 per flight.

Authoritarian luxuries are nakedly exposed within society.

While a fancy ceremony just happened for the 100th anniversary of the Studierendenwerk with fancy meals, many questions remain then! We just start with our question, "IS EATING A PRIVILEGE?".

During the post-pandemic and high inflation period majority of the residents in Germany are going through a financial crisis. Especially students are highly suffering from it and living below the poverty line. Food, accommodation, etc. all these basic rights we are forced to consume at high prices. The minimum wage hasn't increased yet. The government failed to subsidize people's basic needs.

So we decided to organize ourselves. We strongly believe that without authority we can survive by organizing our life together to take our own responsibility and support each other, but the authorities can't survive without us as their livelihood depends on us.

"1 Euro Soli-Essen" is a social movement organized by a group of students to stand for affordable food for everyone as basic rights, at the same time it's a slap at authoritarian excuses who are failed to protect the basic rights of the residence. From September onwards we will try to organize it on weekly basis.

Will speak out loud about students crisis in Bochum

Am kommenden Samstag wird unsere Aktionsbühne auf dem Vegan Street Day stattfinden, auf der viele politische Gruppen aus Bochum und Umgebung Beträge halten werden. Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen! 🖤

Dieses Jahr wird der Vegan Street Day zum ersten Mal in Bochum, anstelle von Dortmund stattfinden. Es wird viele Stände, Vorträge und Essen geben. Neben einer Hauptbühne, auf der es um Veganismus gehen wird, gibt es wieder eine alternative Bühne („Aktionsbühne“) bei der Themen über Veganismus hin aus behandelt wie zum Beispiel Geflüchteten Hilfe, Klima- und soziale Gerechtigkeit, Anarchismus und Basisgewerkschaft.

Viele politische Gruppen aus Bochum und Umgebung werden auf der Aktionsbühne beim Vegan Street Day Bochum ihre Arbeit vorstellen. Die medizinische Flüchtlingshilfe Bochum und die Gruppe equal.Help4U werden über ihre Arbeit mit und für Geflüchtete reden. Um Klimagerechtigkeit und Artensterben wird es sich bei Ende Gelände und Extinction Rebellion Dortmund drehen. A Student Liberation Kamp wird auf die aktuellen Probleme der Studierenden aufmerksam machen, die Basisgewerkschaft FAU ist mit einer Vorstellung ihrer Gewerkschaftsarbeit dabei. Das sozial-ökologische Zentrum Dortmund liefert einen Beitrag über Klimawandel und soziale Gerechtigkeit. Anarchismus, Veganismus, Queerness & Schwerbehinderung ist das Thema, worüber die anarchistische Gruppe Dortmund sprechen wird. Zum Abschluss gibt es dann noch Musik von Brightness
