Last year Eifeltower in Paris, this year on the Ponte Eifel in Viana do Castelo.

Who would have guessed? I am always more than excited and touched to hear how my journey moves and touches other people. Today is not the first time I have met pilgrims who have set out to walk the Way of St. James because of the documentary and my story. And today was no different with my wonderful encounter with Lena. After Lena saw the first five minutes of the documentary, it was clear to her that she should walk the Way of St. James. When she crossed the bridge in Viana do Castelo today, she couldn't believe her eyes. Suddenly she saw the unique blue Doppellecker gourmet bus in the distance. Even though it meant a detour of over 30 minutes, she headed towards the bus after a long and tiring hot day of pilgrimage. Thank you for the encounter. We are delighted when we can spread love, peace and coffee.

wer hätte das geahnt. ich bin jedesmal mal mehr als begeistert und gerührt zu hören wie meine Reise andere Menschen bewegt und berührt. heute habe ich nicht zum ersten Mal Pilger getroffen, die aufgrund der Doku und meiner Geschichte sich auf den Weg gemacht haben, den Jakobsweg zu gehen. so auch heute die wunderbare Begegnung mit Lena. Nachdem Lena die ersten 5 Minuten der Doku gesehen hat, war ihr klar, dass sie den Jakobsweg laufen soll.. Als sie heute die Brücke in Viana do Castelo überquert hat, könnte sie ihren Augen nicht trauen. mit einmal sah sie in weiter Entfernung den einzigartigen blauen Doppellecker Genussbus. auch wenn es einen Umweg von über 30 Minuten bedeutete, hat sie nach einem langen und anstrengenden heißen Pilgertag den Weg Richtung Bus eingeschlagen. danke für die Begegnung. es freut uns riesig wenn wir Love, Peace und Coffee verteilen können.

We arrived in Villa Praia

Finally our Bus gets an oil change 🛢️.

Can't wait to welcome you back in the Bus. The best kids ever on the Way to visit me. We will pick you up in Porto. Just a few hours left. 🤩

Currently, we are leaving Espinho, one of our last stops in Portugal. While we've enjoyed many wonderful cities in Portugal, our stay in Espinho was disastrous. It was, without a doubt, the worst place we've visited in Portugal. We apologize to our guests, as it was impossible to enjoy the bus and its unique atmosphere due to the constant blare of loud techno music. At times, the music was so loud that the entire bus shook.

Additionally, the municipality of Espinho charged us over 600 euros for a spot without electricity and water. After 12 days, with the support of some generous friends and help from a nearby swimming pool, we finally got some relief. Unfortunately, the local authorities did not understand or appreciate our project, showing little regard for its beauty and purpose.

We apologize to our guests, but we had to leave as it was unbearable to stay any longer. We know better days are ahead of us. We look forward to seeing you in a place where we are truly welcomed.

One year ago, we stood beneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Today, we are still on our journey to Santiago de Compostela, and along the way, we've experienced incredible hospitality. Communities and cities have welcomed us warmly and supported our project, for which we are deeply grateful.
