Alice Viola / A Long Trip

Singer & composer

Alice Viola is a Jazz, Neo Soul, R&B singer/composer and a vocal coach, born in Italy .

After her musical experiences abroad, collaborating with jazz musicians, with different cultures and roots (Italians, Cubans, Brazilians, Afroamerican, Spanish), she recorded her debut album “ A Long Trip”, rich of sonorities, colours, stories and feelings collected during the period spent living in Madrid, New York City, Montreal , Toronto, Rome and Munich.

“A Long Trip”, is an international album with jazz, neo soul and r&b sounds mixed together.

She composed songs in Italian, English and Spanish, with atmospheres that alternate underground and soft taste.

Incredible musicians from different countries participated to the album that was recorded in Italy at The White Castle Studio of Michele Bianchi (guitarist for Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mina, Mario Biondi, Incognito, Fabrizio Bosso, Walter Ricci).

Alice Viola collaborated with Michele Bianchi and Andrea Bertorelli (keyboards for Maison Musiq, Vahimiti, Mario Biondi) more then one year researching sounds, giving to every song a particular arrangement.

“ A Long Trip” tell us a lot about this songwriter, that makes of her contamination her musical strength.

Since two years Alice Viola is playing with her band “Alice Viola & The Shades” :Rene Haderer(Bass), Chris Stoeger(drums), Andre Schwager(Keyboard), Diego Riedemann(Guitar).We played in many clubs and festival last years as: Flat jazz Club- Berlin, Tube-Vienna, Tunnel -Graz, Bayerischer Hof Night Club -Munchen, Vogler Jazz Club-Munchen, Swinging Festival-Prien, Blues and Jazz tage-Holzkirchner, Bravo Jazz Cafe-Bologna, Stereonotte at max de Tomassi ‘show and many more.

Two songs of the album ," Little Girl" and "1000 Mistakes" were broadcast in several Jazz and Soul Radio' shows in England and Italy,as:BBC Oxford 95.2 , BBC Solent at Paul Miller'show ,BBC Surrey, BBC Sussex, GFM 96.6 Gluchester /Soulfusion/Electric Soul at Jerry Hipkins ' show,Solar Radio Soul Station at John Osborne' show .

This year I was a guest at Radio Rai 1 inside the most prestigious jazz show in Italy ," Stereonotte" , Max De Tomassi' Show.Alice Viola is collaborating with various band of Munich scene:

Jazz Kitchen, Brisa D’oro, Som Do Mar, Rumbacoustic, The Italian Jazz Job, Oliver Ringleb Trio.

She is currently teaching as a vocal coach in Munich at Performing Art Studio, Melodrom Musik Schule, Silver Stage Tone Studio,MMC music schule in Haag.
