What is DingDsein?

DingDsein rethinks the everyday object and brings together material, form and function in the process. Bespoke and small-scale series of objects are designed and crafted in the Munich workshop, thus each handmade piece is unique. A passion for raw materials and clear lines is visible in every item that leaves the shop.

Located in an old artisan quarter in the center of Munich, the atmosphere of this lively city inspires and supports the process of inventing new pieces.
The master craftsman and founder of DingDsein, Michael von Stosch, began his study of metals, then attended the Akademie für Handwerksdesign Gut Rosenberg in Aachen, where he worked with other materials and learned new techniques. After graduating, he took over as workshop manager at the academy before returning to Munich to start DingDsein.

Michael has won many awards for excellence, like the Designpreis Metall in 2014 and the Bayerischer Staatspreis in 2018.
