Her mind was set on KMS TEAM, and we had our sights set on her too. Meet Isabella, our Junior Designer since June 2023. 👋

From the small Bavarian town of Cham, Isabella moved to Munich in 2019 to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Brand and Communication Design at .amd. As soon as she graduated, she knew what to do. »I followed KMS TEAM’s projects for a while, and I was determined to join the team. It was the only company I applied for«, she explains.

Isabella’s artistic vein was evident from early on. »For as long as I can remember, I have been into both analog and digital drawing, handcrafting, pottery, and macramé. Choosing my career path was therefore relatively straightforward«, she says.

Now at KMS TEAM, Isabella is a happy soul. »I received a warm welcome into a very relaxed atmosphere. From the strong teamwork to the nice coffee breaks and cooking sessions, I feel like I belong here«.

»The contrasting nature of the brand principles is also reflected in the typography«, says Hendrik Weber, Type Director KMS TEAM. The delicate serif stands for tradition and is combined with an expressive grotesque typeface that represents the antithesis of radicalism.

Navigating seamlessly between culture and business, he always remained true to his core passion: brand development. Meet Wolfram, Design Director at KMS TEAM Berlin since May 2022.

With a Communication Design Diplom from , Wolfram moved his way through several agencies including MetaDesign, Neue Gestaltung, and Stan Hema. »Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from the cultural scene to the corporate world«, he says. After seven years at , he joined KMS TEAM to build up and develop the Berlin office as creative lead.

When asked what he finds special about KMS TEAM, Wolfram is quick to answer. »Our holistic mindset«, he says. »We approach brands as a whole: from the strategic basics and their translation into design to the implementation across all channels and touchpoints. Thanks to our vast array of talents, we can create the complete package for outstanding projects – delivering design with real relevance and impact«.

Two amazing days at .berlin! 🤩

The interactive business festival (June 28-29) brought together thousands of participants to discuss the latest developments in technology and digitalization. From inspiring keynotes and panel discussions to dynamic networking opportunities, the event offered an insightful glimpse into what the future might hold.

»The hub showed us how digitalization and AI can influence the brands of tomorrow: informing strategies to optimize customer experiences, creating efficient sustainability measures, and rethinking established business models. More than ever, it is vital to build a culture that fosters digital literacy«, says Lydia Renner, Brand Strategy Consultant KMS TEAM.

With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from , Celine first spent 2 years deepening her agency experience at . Upon her arrival at KMS TEAM, it was clear that our mindsets aligned. »I believe teamwork beats any individual effort. To face new challenges together willingly and without fear – that is the approach I’m looking for«, she affirms.

After 4 months, Celine says KMS TEAM surprised her. »It is common to see other companies boasting about innovation, but here we truly live up to our words. A true professional chameleon, she easily transitions between different roles. Meet Maria, our Senior Mediengestalterin since March 2023.

Twenty years ago, an internship at a small prepress studio sparked her interest in media design – or Mediengestaltung, to be more precise. Holding a bachelor’s degree in the field, Maria passed through several companies, with a few peculiar stories to tell along the way.
»My first employer once needed a part-time receptionist, so I began filling that position on Thursdays and Fridays, keeping my original Mediengestalterin job from Monday to Wednesday«, she explains.

Before joining us, Maria had a brief spell as a marketing manager and social media content creator for a fast-growing wine delivery company. »I met incredible people over there, and I can already say the same about KMS TEAM. I love my team!«

Maria’s creativity extends to her free time as well. »I am an active member of a DIY group, and we make all kinds of cute handmade accessories: !«

Under the motto »CASH«, the self-described digital society festival delved into the role played by money in the biggest challenges of our time – from AI and cryptocurrencies to human rights and sustainability, to name a few.

With 18 stages and over 1,100 speakers, the event offered a 3-day program packed with insightful keynotes, panel discussions and workshops.

»It is human nature to develop an affinity for and interact with any kind of visual information. This is especially true in typographic design«, says our Type Director Hendrik Weber. So, how can a company harness the power of typography to influence how other people perceive it?

From Munich to Berlin and back, her time with us has been a ride. This is Lilian (), one of our Design working students. 🙋🏻‍♀️

Currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at , Lilian first joined us in October 2022 as an intern. »I heard about KMS TEAM through one of my professors, and I decided to apply for an internship in Berlin«, she says. The integration process ran smoothly: »Honestly, it’s such a fun team. Everyone is very down-to-earth, and when it comes to design, we give it our all«.

After 6 months, it was time to return to Munich – now as a working student. »It was not a goodbye, as I’m still part of the Berlin team, but I really miss them«, she admits. »At the same time, sitting with (our Head of Design) Robert’s team has been a great experience as well«.

When asked about KMS TEAM’s work mindset, this is how Lilian describes it: »Our design standards are very high. We put our customers’ needs and satisfaction at the forefront, without ever forgetting to live up to our own expectations«.

»Step out of your comfort zone« is often ignored advice, but she certainly embraced it. Meet Friederike, our new Design intern. ✌️

Born and raised in Lüneburg, Friederike moved to Munich in 2020 for her Communication Design bachelor’s degree at . Through a recommendation from one of her professors, she joined us in April 2023 – but not in Munich. »I wanted to explore a new city, and KMS TEAM gave me that opportunity in Berlin. Plus, our flexible work culture allows me to always return to Munich«, she says.

A designer by heart, Friederike feels lucky to have found her passion early on in life. »Many people need time to narrow down their interests, but mine are clear. I love typography and web design, two fields of expertise my internship enables me to work in«, she explains.

In fact, Friederike’s enthusiasm for design even extends to her personal life. »For some time now, I have dedicated myself to new fields of design, such as the design of jewelry. I think it provides me with a good balance to my so-called ‘desk work’, and it’s a great way to push my creative boundaries«, she concludes.
