BauBau shop and photographer Camilla Lohmann, invite you to a viewing of the photo book THIRTEEN TEARDROPS, plus exhibition. All this takes place on Thursday 15. August from 4-9pm in the store, Birkegade 3, in Nørrebro.

As usual, it will be extremely fun and fantastic. There will be lots of cold drinks, snacks, cute people, curated vintage fashion, and good music on the speakers.

We are also lucky to have a special guest. Literary artist, Vendela Lundegårdh, will join us all the way from Sweden and read for us. Among other things, she will read a text that was created in a cute co-lab between her and me, in connection with an audio project made for the book.

In addition, it is pride week in Copenhagen and of course, we celebrate that too.

About the project:
Camilla Lohmann is an artist and photographer from Copenhagen but is currently living in Sweden, studying for a bachelor’s degree in photography at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design in Gothenburg.

The project revolves around real life, fiction, the unexpected, and the staged. Between the pages of the book, various found materials symbolize the complexity and fragility of building relationships and relations with others and oneself.

The book’s photographs are a mix of portraits and close-ups of friends, family, random encounters, landscapes, and details. Short texts, printed almost invisibly into the pages, reveal and describe personal and vulnerable experiences.

The photographs reflect a melancholy and lonely journey but also depict intimate and authentic encounters between people.
