There are no hearts and arrows in an emerald cut diamond.
But you can see the symmetry of all the steps aligned to each other.
A diamond in this cut has to be particularly free of inclusions, because the table acts like a window where you can see into the stone.

16/04/2024

This is another diamond, a little bigger than the one from yesterday. A little more than 5 ct and this one has also excellent cut grade and symmetry.
COLOUR:
The colour is D which is actually NO colour or colourless.
Most diamonds have a slight yellow tint. Yellow in diamonds is due to the presence of nitrogen in the crystal structure. Only as little as 0.05 % will tint the diamond yellowish.
The purest colour is D like this diamond.

When we sell a diamond together with a GIA report, you can read about the unique features of the stone.
The most obvious is the measurements and carat weight, colour and clarity grade.
But nothing is more important than the cut in a brilliant cut. It is the most important C of the 4 Cs.
The cut is responsible for the brilliance of the stone. The brilliance is the effect of the reflections that are also the light return from the inside of the diamond’s pavilion facets 💎
You find the details of the diamond under proportions, where you can see all the measurements of the stone.

But nothing is more important than to see and meet the stone in person and with your own eyes.
Either it clicks or not 😍😘🥰❤️🩵

💎Diamond clarity grading and plotting/mapping.
A certified diamond grader will draw a map of inclusions and blemishes onto where these exist in a diamond. This is called ‘plotting’.
Here’s an example of a round brilliant cut diamond with very tiny pinpoints marked with a RED pin.
The red colour indicates that the inclusions are inside the diamond.
If any GREEN plotting (not on this diamond) it would have meant blemishes on the surface of the diamond.

Also, there are different symbols to show what kind of inclusions and blemishes I.e. crystal, cloud, feather etc.
In this diamond they are located and plotted where they have been found in the diamond.

Depending on the diamond’s inclusions and blemishes, the diamond grader take into account;
•What kind of inclusions and blemishes.
•Contrast to the diamond’s beauty.
•How big are they.
•How many are there.
•Where are they located.
This one has been graded by GIA

Colour changing Sapphire is very rare.
The effect is not as pronounced as with the Alexandrite, but you do see the difference in daylight and incandescent light.

Garnet, the birthstone of February, is a beautiful gemstone with a hardness of 7.25-7.5 on MOHS’ scale (except for Demantoid with a hardness of 6.5).
It also comes in many different colours (just think of the vivid green Tsavorite, the orange-red Spessartite and the Cinnamon stone’ Hessonite etc).
Garnet is growing in the cubic crystal system, so fine crystals can be found in I.e. rhombic dodecahedron shapes (swipe to see 👉👉👉) and other combined forms.

💜🩷An otherworldly colour, and it’s all natural 🩷💜
This is a special gemstone that we did not show too much of.
Here are some clues about it:
Colour is rare pink to purple.
The form is usually massive.
Hardness is 5.5 to 6.5
It’s mostly translucent.
If you didn’t got the name already, it is
SUGILITE 🤗

💫What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That’s not been said a thousand times?

🌟The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.

🌟We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.

🌟We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.

🌟We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.

🌟We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that’s the burden of a year.

❤️ HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 ❤️

Three photos from the Tanzania business trip earlier this year.
Photo 1. After many hours of driving we finally arrived at the destination. Of course we took a team-picture before visiting the site.
Photo 2. We were literally walking on gemstones on the ground. Here you see big snow Quartz Crystal coming up from the ground.
Picture 3. Back to civilians and a small town.

This trip will be very fruitful. We were trading directly with locals. We will cut the rough ourselves. Next year will be a good year 2024 🙏
