New Works presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art.
Our work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. Through collaboration with International acknowledged designers, we add a spice to our scandinavian heritage, which we respect, but want to challenge. Our approach is heavily influenced by our experiments with natural materials and geometric forms, giving ou
Amid the summer quiet, as the rhythm softens, our showroom remains open by appointment. Reach out to us at [email protected] in advance, and let us curate a time for your visit.
We wish you all a lovely summer, wherever you might spend it.
Join us in the south of Denmark, where the summers have a special, timeless cadence. We sit down with Nikolaj Meier, CEO and co-founder of New Works, who recounts the journey he and his family made from the bustling streets of Copenhagen to a serene life where community and nature intertwine.

Coming Soon: Lantern Portable Table Lamp
At this year's 3daysofdesign, we proudly introduced the Lantern Portable Table Lamp by Anderssen & Voll, set to join our collection this autumn.
The Lantern series now travels back to its origin, drawing upon the original source of inspiration for the lighting family. As a natural progression of the beloved series, the new member of the Lantern family is, in fact, a lantern, albeit a thoroughly modernised one.

In the quiet hours, the Covent Lounge Chair invites you to bask in the comfort of an unhurried life. Its warm embrace offers a quiet sanctuary to read and unwind from the adventures of the day.
Home is not merely a physical space but rather a feeling. It is the morning light filtering through your window and the comforting embrace of your favourite chair after a long day. At New Works, we understand that these seemingly small moments are what weave the essence of a home.

Debuting this 3daysofdesign, Tenon by Spanish designer Omayra Maymó enters the collection this fall.
The piece celebrates the beauty of opposites harmoniously united—a compact form that commands attention, marrying sturdy oak with soft upholstery, all encased within a sculpted frame.
With 3daysofdesign and the inaugural opening of New Works Residence behind us, we'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who celebrated with us. We can't wait to welcome you back again soon.
In case you couldn't be with us, you can explore the highlights from the design days through our latest journal post at newworks.dk.

The Feeling of Home Through Seating with John Astbury
Wednesday June 12, 15.00–15.30
Delve into the artistry of crafting a home and the beauty of everyday rituals with designer John Astbury in conversation with Knut Bendik Humlevik—a talk on creating sanctuaries that balance beauty, functionality, nostalgia and soulful living, enjoyed from the comfort of Astbury’s new lounge series Coda.
We met with the Astbury in his neighbourhood in Stockholm, Sweden, to talk about design and the feeling of home; an interview that will be available on our website soon after the design days.
In the midst of the sun's embrace and longer days, the Kizu Table Lamp continues to shine, adding a soft and soothing light to your summer evenings.
Though our new Residence sprawls more than three times the size of our old showroom, it retains an intimacy and a sense of the personal and familiar—echoing our ethos and spirit, only within a larger framework.
Garden Jazz Soirée
Thursday June 13, 16.00–19.00
In celebration of the opening of New Works Residence, 3daysofdesign, and the community around us, New Works cordially invites you to join us and our co-exhibitors Astrid and Friends & Founders for a Garden Jazz Soirée in our courtyard. Lounge in our May series and delight in refreshments serenaded by the melodies of live jazz.
With just two weeks remaining until 3daysofdesign, we prepare to open the doors to the New Works Residence and welcome you—the community whose support has shaped our journey. Join us, from near and far, to celebrate this new chapter and discover the designs that mark our next season.
In our quest to give our new residence a true sense of home, we have had the great joy of displaying our designs, both cherished and new, against the backdrop of art pieces by Swedish-Finnish artist Ida Vikfors. Her work captures the nuanced beauty of textures, surfaces, and materials.
Join us during 3daysofdesign to explore the residence, our latest creations, and the captivating work of Ida Vikfors.
In the swift currents of our modern age, where time often seems to race ahead, we find ourselves reaching for the tender constants of life: the joy of connecting, the beauty in good craft, and the soothing embrace of nature.
Sisters Tracy and Théa, the visionary artisans behind the Parisian food design studio Toutia, practice this pursuit daily. They bring people together through their creative installations and heartfelt cuisine, weaving together memories and flavours influenced by their native Lebanon, the tides of the sea, and impressions gained through their travels.
Journey into our journal page to unfold our interview with the sisters and savour the recipe for the asparagus risotto they prepared for our residence dinner.
Celebrating the mark of new beginnings, we cordially invite you to join us for the inaugural opening of New Works Residence during 3daysofdesign, 12–14 June.
As Copenhagen’s design community gathers for the design days, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment of change: the grand opening of our new sanctuary, New Works Residence. We hope you’ll share this ceremonial moment with us as we formally inaugurate the premises that stand as a testament to both our legacy and aspirations.
Visit the link in our bio to view the programme.
One of the first things that struck us upon entering our new premises was the play of light within its walls.
With windows welcoming the sun from both the east and west, the sun's rays choreograph a daily spectacle, changing the ambience of each room and subtly directing our path and presence within the space.
