Funny to experience the success of a painting which subject (these particular flowers) I've never found inspiring. could anybody explain it?

My "Ready to Wrap" was selected to the "Pixel Pastel 2023" online exhibition, hosted by The Société de Pastel de l´Est du Canada! Thank you, jurors Lea Collie Wight and JaFang Lu!
The show will be launched on Dec.15th, with 132 paintings from 19 countries on display, all available for purchasing. Looking forward to see it!

It's getting harder and harder to keep up with the acceleration of IT technology, as I get older. sooo frustrating. you hardly learn to navigate in a system when they change it all again, -not necessarily for the better- and you must start over, wasting your precious time on yet another -maybe useless- innovation. "no thanks" is not always an option 🤯 😵‍💫😖

If you think it`s been rather quiet here on the page recently, you are right. Not only have I moved out of my studio and have most of my painting equipment god knows in which boxes, I am also suffering pain in my shoulder and upper arm, so it`s very limited what I can do at the easel. BUT! I can still use my lower arm and fingers, that means I can Google my name in the Internet, for instance. And look what I found on YouTube! No idea who is behind this piece, but it´s good to know someone cares and bothers. click on the picture and enjoy the show!

Hooray! yet another accolade - my dandelions got accepted to IAPS Pastel - International Association of Pastel Societies 2023 Fall Juried Exhibition - the most prestigious semiannual worldwide pastel show!
What a relief! I had prepared myself for rejection, couldn't wait for the jury's results, now I can breathe again for a moment 🤩. Thank you jurors, congratulations to all the accepted artists and award winners, both in the Master Circle and Open Division shows! 🎉🥂

An era is over. For 8 years I have enjoyed the luxury of having a studio. How to squeeze all my stuff now from 45m2 into a 9m2 room (that includes an extremely curious white! cat) and to be able to paint in there, I must figure out, not an easy task.

latest addition into my Boast'n'Brag Book 😇 the catalog of the 51st (not 50th!) "Enduring Brilliance!" has landed in my snail mail box.

I believe it's about 30 years since I last tried to paint with acrylics. It's just never been my "thing". But, in regard to our upcoming annual exhibition, members of are preparing a joint project, which this piece is a part of. Are you around, come and visit the show in , Korsør!

Outdoors still life practice - pineapple study. Pretty challenging for the student, when the teacher insists: "PAINT it, don't DRAW!"

I have always had problems with knowing when to stop painting, when to call it finished. Often I keep tweaking too long, and end up with an overworked tired piece.
This one is different. It is just a quick demo for my workshop students in France lately, painted while talking and jumping around. I never had time to take another look at it, gifted it away on the spot. It was first back at home that I started to like the unfinished freshness of the image, so I chose to submit it to Pastel Guild of Europa`s Get Dusty summer competition and VOILÁ! - won the 3rd place🤩!!!
