Lyle introduced the 13-minute composition at its world-premiere at the 2009 Zeltsman Marimba Festival in Appleton, WI: “This piece is a very serious tribute to German bassist and composer Eberhard Weber who was a huge influence on me when I first started out...It’s my humble tribute to Eberhard.”

Eberhard Weber himself had the chance to listen to the piece last month, and offered his feedback, "What an incredible honour to find out that Lyle created a last masterpiece and named it "Eberhard"! I am really overwhelmed and moved. It is impossible to express my thankfulness and gratitude that Lyle produced that CD. I am only able with dying-away-voice to follow a term of the classical music "morendo": Thank you, Lyle, thank you, Lyle, thank you, Lyle, thank you, Lyle, thank you, Lyle....."
