Meet our DevOps Engineer Ihor 👨🏽💻
🔹How long have you been working at Axon?
👨🏽💻I have been working here for 2.5 years.
🔹Is this your first experience working as a DevOps?
👨🏽💻I joined Axon as a System Administrator, and after 6 months, I started my trial period as a DevOps engineer. After successfully completing a 3-month probation, I transitioned into a full-fledged DevOps role.
🔹Did you get along with the team quickly?
👨🏽💻The DevOps department was established when I joined the company, which made it easier to stay on the same page with the team.
🔹What do you like most about being a DevOps?
👨🏽💻I like that you are always working on optimizing the development process. I feel amazing when improvements from my side make this process better.
🔹What do you dislike about DevOps?
👨🏽💻When someone tells me everything works fine locally and issues are only in the cloud, I know that's impossible😏
🔹What is the most challenging thing in your work?
👨🏽💻The biggest challenge is to be a multi-function tool, working with both people and hardware. You need to be proficient in both areas😎

🔹How long have you been working at Axon?
👨🏻💻I feel like I've been here forever, but HR says it's only been 2 years and 3 months😁
🔹It’s your first workplace as a BA
👨🏻💻Yes, I joined Axon with a trainee program👨🏻🎓
🔹Did you get along with the team quickly?
👨🏻💻Yes, very quickly. It was easier than I expected. Everyone from team members to managers is approachable, open-minded, and always willing to assist.
🔹What do you like most about being a BA?
👨🏻💻It is enjoyable to take a problem from a client and discuss it with a developer to come up with a solution. I like to sketch out ideas and create diagrams such as process flows and wireframes. After presenting the solution to the client, it feels rewarding to hear them say, "𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵!"
🔹What do you dislike about BA?
👨🏻💻Sometimes, I come up with a solution that will benefit the business. But developers might say, “𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦. 𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵!” In such cases, I interact with the client, use my negotiation skills, and come up with another solution that benefits the business. However, when I present this solution to the development team, they might say, “𝘖𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥/𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥!” Finding an appropriate solution can take several weeks, causing immense frustration.
🔹What is the most challenging thing in your work?
👨🏻💻Combining different roles, such as detective, scriptwriter, negotiator, and even producer, makes my job challenging but enjoyable🕵🏻♂️

Meet August rubric with QA-girl Maryna👩🏽💻
🔹How long have you been working at Axon?
👩🏽💻I’ve been a part of this company for almost a year.
🔹Did you get along with the team quickly?
👩🏽💻Yes, there are a lot of friendly, open-minded, and talented teammates.
🔹What do you like most about being a QA engineer?
👩🏽💻I like being free with approaches and creating new solutions in the QA field.
QA is not solely about testing. It is mainly about working with all the processes and all the team members on a project.
The main goal is to ensure that all the phases have high-quality deliverables to get a top-notch end product.
🔹What do you dislike about QA work?
👩🏽💻It’s not the work itself, but rather the field: sometimes people use some practices that are not suitable and don’t benefit the project.
Time is a valuable resource, and we must focus on the results of such practices, mainly whether time spent on it is reasonable.
🔹What is the most challenging thing in your work?
👩🏽💻If there are many complex projects, you need to switch between them every 15 minutes😁
But, from my perspective, that's not bad because it improves time management and helps to stay focused on the main aspects of the project.
