Easel and Camera | Contemporary Art Gallery

Maisara Baroud is Palestinian plastic artist. He was born in 1976 .
He currently works as lecturer at the Fine Arts College at Al-Aqsa University.

Black-and-white dichotomy takes over Maisara's art practice. Using his own techniques, he attempts to shape suffering in works with a human dimension. It is an aesthetic cry that describes what people suffer in different parts of the world and the Palestinian suffering in particular.

Maisara has participated in many local and international group exhibitions, with more than forty participations in (Palestine - France - America - Japan - Italy - Russia - Qatar - Cairo - Algeria - Abu Dhabi - Dubai - Lebanon - Jordan - Tunisia - Kuwait - Canada) .

The art workshop scheduled for the 25th and 26th of August focuses on the theme "Become Free, Heal Yourself." During this workshop, participants will engage in the creation of abstract art. Abstract art is a form of artistic expression that does not seek to accurately depict visual reality. Instead, it utilizes shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to evoke emotional responses and convey meaning.

The primary objective of this workshop is to provide guidance and support for participants to express their emotions through the process of creating abstract art. By using the canvas as a means of communication, participants can explore and externalize their emotions in a tangible and expressive way. The workshop will offer techniques and instruction to assist participants in translating their inner experiences into visual form, allowing for personal growth, healing, and a sense of liberation.

- Honorary award winner at the Japan Salon of Photography (72nd cycle) in 2012.
