Here we have another wonderfully drawn building inspired by Gaudí. This piece showcases bright colours and intricate mosaics, along with the wavy lines, originality, and emotion so characteristic of the Modernist or Art Nouveau movement.

It was a fantastic week filled with imagination and artistic growth!

Last week at Victorious School's Summer School, our students experienced the magic of Dynamic Designers Week! They immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Antoni Gaudí, the brilliant architect known for his unique sense of geometry and imaginative designs.

Our young artists drew inspiration from Gaudí's masterpieces, including the Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló, to create their own stunning drawings. The creativity and enthusiasm they displayed were truly inspiring!

They commented that our pupils are meeting above age-related expectations and that they were impressed with the level of English.

Their report included the following highlights:

- 'Children are provided with exciting opportunities to develop independent thinking and learning, and the children’s use of English and the range of their vocabulary are impressive.'
- 'In these lessons, the teacher asks effective questions that involve the children throughout the lessons and make them think.'
- The curriculum is broad and balanced and clearly based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the National Curriculum.
- 'The curriculum in general is very creative with students commenting that they are not just taught from books but also in a practical way to ensure that the learning is fun.'

We are passionate about our pupils achieving academic success. This week in Victorious, our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the story "Stuck" 🌳by Oliver Jeffers.

The story follows a boy 👦named Floyd who gets his kite stuck in a tree and tries various increasingly absurd methods to retrieve it, leading to hilarious outcomes. It encourages creativity and problem-solving. 🎯🔧

All of our pupils learnt about persistence, resourcefulness, and the importance of thinking outside the box. Our Year 2 pupils learnt the text orally, then adapted it, and finally created their own innovative endings.
