‼️It’s important to do research and know more about the products you use, the skin is the bodies largest organ and it’s important to know what you’re putting on it. Quality ingredients and using products adapted for your skin type are key.
My client has ultra sensitive skin, and though she uses only Vegan and cruelty free products the particular products she was using seemed to be aggravating her skin more. This raises the question does branding reflect the product? In my opinion no, a product can be cruelty free and still not be good for your skin. There are many brands out there that are cruelty free and have amazing products.

🧖🏼‍♀️Growing up I remember always hearing people say not to put oils on your face as it would cause break outs and as I got older I learned that oil combats oil as it mimicked the skins barrier therefore the skin no longer need to produce as much oil.
When I started using ARGAN OIL at night it transformed my skin and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve realized that it’s important to use the proper oil for your skin type as you would use any other skin care product.
We’ve also all heard the benefits of COCONUT OIL it carries antibacterial properties which in theory would help combat acne and this oil IS great for many things but should be avoided on the face as it is considered a comedogenic oil and will most likely clog your pores which will be counterproductive.

Depending on the current state of my skin I alternate between Argan oil, Jojoba oil and Rosehip oil. ☺️

Currently Treating this Beauty for Hyperpigmentation due to sun damage☀️☀️☀️.This was the result immediately after the first of a series of 3 treatments. There’s already a noticeable difference, the skin look brighter, lighter and more hydrated, pigmentation and fine lines have faded. We did the Quantum signature glow facial with a Cranberry Lactic Acid peel for the first round and made some modifications for her skincare regimen at home 🤗.

Hyperpigmentation is a common skin condition that affects people of all skin types and can occur anywhere on the body.
-
Depending on the cause and severity there are many ways to treat hyperpigmentation. The key to treating hyperpigmentation is a strict skin care regimen in combination with professional care by your Dermatologist or Aesthetician.
-
Ways to prevent hyperpigmentation is applying sunscreen before going outside. Being mindful of the skin care products/medication you use during the day that may cause photo sensitivity. Avoid picking at the skin when injury, acne or any other skin affection is present.
Ways to help prevent hyperpigmentation:
Avoid extended Sun Exposure ☀️ — Always apply a MINIMUM of 30 SPF when going out in the sun. Avoid Tanning booths all together, your skin will thank you in the future.
Avoid picking at the skin 🕵️‍♀️— picking at the skin when acne, injury or scabs are present can cause hyperpigmentation. Leave it alone!
Be mindful of the products and medication you use 💊 — some products and medication can cause photosensitivity that can cause and/or aggravate hyperpigmentation. With the use of certain products or if you’re skin is experiencing extra sensitivity using sunscreen or diminishing sun exposure is imperative.
If you have questions on different options or treat hyperpigmentation or are in need of a new skin care regimen, feel free to contact me! I’d be more than happy to get your skin back of track.

Facial Gua Sha is a massage technique designed to relieve tension in the muscles of the face, boost blood circulation, and encourage lymphatic drainage to banish bloat. It helps break up fascia, the connective tissue that hugs muscles but can sometimes interfere with optimal circulation.🧖🏼‍♀️
-
In gua sha, a technician scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. 💃🏼
-
Gua sha is intended to address stagnant energy, called chi, in the body that practitioners believe may be responsible for inflammation.☯️
-
You can perform GUA SHA daily
Think of it as an exercise for your facial muscles.🏋🏼‍♀️
Side note📝: Remember to always drink lots of water for optimal drainage of toxins. 💦

I love this combo, dermaplanning + Cranberry Lactic peel. The result is an immediate resurface and glow! 🌟🌟
Dermaplanning removes peach fuzz on your face and exfoliates the skin. It helps with skin texture and makes products absorb better in the skin. Another bonus is it will make your makeup application smooth and seamless 🌝💁🏼‍♀️.
The Cranberry lactic peel is great for resurfacing the skin and exfoliation at a deeper level. It brings back hydration, refines pores, reduces blemishes and is great for aging skin.

Peel season is amongst us and I have to admit this is one of my FAVOURITE treatments. With so many different types of peels on the market it’s important to know which one is best for your skin type, which ones are good to use at home in between facials and what to look for when going to see an esthetician. Fruit enzyme peels are much gentler than chemical peels which is great if you have sensitive skin or aren’t looking for something too abrasive. This is perfect for treating mild skin conditions such as texture, acne, dull uneven skin tone, and hyperpigmentation.
-
One of my holy grail products to use at home is the pumpkin enzyme peel mask 🎃 . This products smells like a pumpkin spiced latte. It transforms your skin and leaves it feeling super smooth and bright.
-
How does it work?
Enzyme peels are a chemical exfoliation which accelerate the process of cell turnover through a chemical reaction necessary to remove dead skin cells. This process occurs naturally but with age and other factors can be slowed down. Enzyme Peels promote collagen and elastin production and brings forth newer, plumper cells. By resurfacing your skin this helps with better product absorption and leaves your skin looking softer and hydrated.
-
-
Benefits of enzymes 🎃🍒🍍:
-More even skin tone (less redness due to their anti-inflammatory properties)
-Reduction in pore size
-Smoother skin with fewer lines and wrinkles
-Plumper and more youthful complexion
-Softer and more hydrated skin
And a kickass healthy glow
-
Which is your favourite kind of peel?
