Yesterday was Global Ethics Day in the UK office. This day got everyone involved in a training and an interesting Q+A session together with Operations Manager Lesley Harmes. The colleagues had a nice get-together speaking about Compliance and Ethics over lunch.

"Jag heter Kasim Abul-Kasim, docent och överläkare i radiologi och neuroradiologi. Jag har arbetat för TMC-neuroradiologisektionen sedan 2012. Jag hade också möjligheten att arbeta på TMC-kontoret i Barcelona under ett par månader 2020 innan pandemin tvingade mig att arbeta hemifrån from min bostad i Barcelona resten av året jag tillbringade i Barcelona. Att arbeta med TMC med distans- granskning ger mig friheten att planera min dag som den passar mig, vilket gör det möjligt för mig att t.ex. ta paus, gå på gym, vara ute och utöva andra fysiska aktiviteter, träffa mina barn och vänner och äta lunch tillsammans eller helt enkelt fixa ärenden jag annars inte hinner med. Dessutom har vi bra teamwork på TMC trots att vi sitter på olika platser i världen med möjlighet att diskutera fall och/eller ha utbildningsronder på Teams. TMC har dessutom fantastisk administrative personal som alltid står till förfogande och hjälper till och fixar det som radiologen behöver för att utföra ett bra arbete."

Through this partnership, Unilabs will be deploying Qure’s AI solution to aid in the classification of chest X-rays into normal and abnormal exams. CT perfusion, along with CT angiography (CTA), can be a very important adjunct when treating strokes as opposed to conventional unenhanced CT brain imaging. Dr. Emily Clewett, Head of Section of Emergency Radiology Scandinavia, and the emergency senior clinical advisor for the AI Centre of Excellence has led her team to include CT perfusion in the routine workout of stroke patients for selected client hospitals in Sweden. TMC UK exhibited at the 11th National Radiology Managers conference in London on 19th May. This was the first time since the pandemic that we have seen some of our clients in real life! Despite the situation in the UK with scanning and reporting capacity shortages, there was a real buzz amongst the delegates who were also delighted to be out seeing people again! TMC participated with a whole team: Lesley Harmes, Artane Tonia Haxhilari, Gareth Davies, Mark Surtees, Benjamin Barling and Matthew Ginder. It was great to be out and see clients again and we’re looking forward to the next congress in June ( ).

Dubai: The future is now

Ernest Montañà Ortiz, the AI Project Manager at TMC is participating in workshops, seminars and discussion panels at the Dubai Health Forum (DHF) in its fourth edition, which is taking place right now 2-3 March 2022.
He states:
"Landing in Dubai feels like landing 100 years further in time, instead of 5000 km away form Barcelona. I was invited to attend the Dubai Health Forum, sponsored by Unilabs Middle East and the main topic was the future of health. Today I had the chance to present the AI Centre of Excellence, our projects and our approach to AI in front of the health authorities and professionals of Dubai."

Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, day three:

For the last day, we had the chance to cover lots of different areas: from what's new in the PACS world to revolutionary methods of reporting and signing off cases.

We have used every single second we have had to hold meetings and exchange impressions and points of view with current and potentially new suppliers. The days have been very intense and long, but 100% worth it. When you get in bed exhausted, you realise that you have absorbed an incredible amount of information in such a short span of time.

Now that RSNA has come to an end, we are bringing back home so many ideas for upcoming projects and different use cases. It's time for us to fly back home, recap and agree on the next steps. We are very satisfied with all the new opportunities we have identified, mission accomplished!

During the second day of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, we focused on AI solutions that could semi-automate part of the plain film reporting process. The TMC AI Project Manager Ernest Montaña explains: "It was a pleasant surprise to find out that the industry is advancing towards automated performance monitorization. TMC is currently participating at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago. Ernest Montaña, the TMC AI Project Manager will be sending news from RSNA daily (you can see him in the picture). For day 1 he writes "The whole delegation made it to RSNA! The main focus the day was workflow related solutions and image segmentation. We have confirmed that the industry aims to make the radiologist's work smoother and more efficient and we want to be frontrunners for that"
