Shot in Marseille, France for this new skate in the collection, the « lightning »

Just got back from an epic couple of weeks filming at the in Rome, the world champs for Skateboarding, Scootering, and Skating! This time, I was all about Roller Freestyle—filming and editing right on the spot. I kind of wish I could’ve been snapping more photos but I wasn’t there for this purpose. 😌

It was such a rollercoaster of emotions—so many moments of pain, joy, hope, and relief. All the footage is up on IG and Facebook if you want to check it out.

I met some insanely talented people, and the scale of the whole event blew me away. With competitions happening all over Italy, the Roller Freestyle events (Park, Street, Vert) were set against some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks.

Fighting the elements with the team. Lightning shoot 2024

I was recently contracted by FISE to photograph all the inline skating competitions at FISE Montpellier (south of France 🇫🇷)

This opportunity was particularly special for me, as I competed in this event for the first time over 25 years ago.

It was a thrill to witness the new generations of skaters, some familiar and some new to me. The skill level is extraordinary, and the emotions are intense.

I was especially impressed by the female skaters who pushed the limits and thrilled the crowd.

Unsurprisingly, Julien Cudot dominated all the competitions, and his performance was truly astonishing to watch.

The work was brutal, and I spent the entire time carrying two cameras like a commando and editing day by day. Despite the intensity, I clearly felt that this is where I belong.

It was fun seeing some old friends during these 5 days.
