In our historic guest house, beautiful light floods into our rooms.

Located on the Basque coast, the Castle of Ilbarritz is a great visit to make while in San Sebastian as you can appreciate its majestic architecture and take a walk at the beautiful beach next to it.

Built between 1894 and 1907 (with an extension in 1960) by the Biarritz architect Gustave Huguenin for Baron Albert de l'Espée, heir to the De Wendel steelworks, an atypical and misanthropic character, the Château d'Ilbarritz was the centerpiece of a whole complex of buildings, rising from the top of the hill to the beach.
