Today is EARTH day. The theme for this year is planet vs plastic. So here’s a few ways to reduce your plastic consumption and help eradicate plastic waste. Please share your favourite ways to go plastic free. 🩷 .
1. Start with small changes: Begin by identifying the most common single-use plastic items in your daily life, such as plastic bags, bottles, straws, and cutlery. Replace them with reusable alternatives like cloth bags, stainless steel bottles, metal straws, and bamboo cutlery.
2. Avoid plastic packaging: Look for products that come in minimal or plastic-free packaging. Choose loose fruits and vegetables instead of pre-packaged ones, and buy in bulk to reduce packaging waste.
3. Bring your own containers: When shopping for groceries or takeout food, bring your own containers to avoid plastic packaging. Many stores and restaurants are accommodating this eco-friendly practice.
4. Choose sustainable alternatives: Look for products made from sustainable materials such as glass, metal, bamboo, or paper. For example, use glass containers for food storage instead of plastic ones.
5. Say no to single-use plastics: Refuse single-use plastic items like plastic straws, disposable cutlery, and coffee stirrers. Instead, carry your own reusable alternatives or simply opt for no straw or stirrer.
6. Recycle properly: Make sure to recycle any plastic items that cannot be eliminated from your life. Check your local recycling guidelines to ensure you are recycling correctly.
7. Spread awareness: Educate others about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and the importance of reducing plastic consumption. Encourage your friends, family, and community to join you in becoming plastic-free.
Remember, transitioning to a plastic-free lifestyle is a journey, and it may not be possible to eliminate all plastic immediately. Start with what you can and continue making small changes over time. Every effort counts in reducing plastic waste and protecting our environment.
Love for ourselves is love for nature. We are the same. A circle of connection. Once we find love in our hearts that magic can be sent out into the world to find connection, community and purpose. On that note here are 5 ways to fall in love with nature..
1. Immerse yourself in natural surroundings: Spend time in nature, whether it’s a hike in the mountains, a walk on the beach, or simply sitting in a park. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the natural world to truly appreciate its beauty.
2. Learn about different ecosystems: Educate yourself about the various ecosystems and their inhabitants. Read books, watch documentaries, or take guided tours to understand the intricate relationships and diversity found in nature. The more you know, the more you’ll appreciate the wonders of the natural world.
3. Engage in outdoor activities (ours!) : Try new outdoor activities like hiking, camping, kayaking, or birdwatching. These activities allow you to connect with nature on a deeper level and experience its wonders firsthand. The thrill of exploration and discovery can ignite a love for nature.
4. Practice mindfulness in nature: Take time to slow down, be present, and observe the details of nature. Engage your senses by noticing the texture of tree bark, the sound of chirping birds, or the scent of wildflowers. Mindfulness can deepen your connection with nature and bring a sense of peace and joy.
5. Capture the beauty of nature: Take up photography or sketching as a way to capture the beauty of nature. This creative outlet allows you to focus on the details and intricacies of the natural world, fostering a deeper appreciation and love for its wonders. Share your creations with others to inspire their own love for nature. .
Ain’t that right! Headwear provided by and and .gajetzki on our morning together, we cleaned a beach. What does that mean? Children learn to take care of their home. Our only home. Why do we care about our environment because its our house! It’s our home.
Child of the wild has two main goals.
The first is to help children connect to themselves, connect with their mental wellbeing using the power of nature.
The second is to help children to connect to nature to help natures wellbeing using the power of humanity.
Trees are fabulous at doing that. They are wonderful for……
1. Grounding: When you hug a tree, you establish a physical connection with nature. This grounding effect can help you feel more centered and connected to the earth.
2. Stress reduction: Being in nature and hugging a tree can help reduce stress. It allows you to disconnect from the demands of daily life and find solace in the tranquility of the natural environment.
3. Energy exchange: Trees are known to have a calming and soothing energy. When you hug a tree, you may experience an exchange of energy that can help restore balance and promote a sense of peace and well-being.
4. Connection with nature: Hugging a tree can deepen your connection with the natural world. It reminds us of our interdependence with nature and can foster a sense of gratitude and awe for the beauty and wisdom of trees.

THREE reasons why nature makes children happier. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Stimulates Creativity: Natures diverse and ever-changing elements spark children's imagination. Whether it's exploring the shapes of clouds, building structures with sticks and stones, or inventing games with leaves, nature provides a canvas for creative expression, fostering happiness through play.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Promotes Physical Activity: Outdoor play encourages children to move, run, climb, and engage in activities that contribute to their physical well-being. The release of endorphins during physical activity is linked to improved mood, making nature a natural source of joy for children. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Reduces Stress and Anxiety: Nature offers a calming environment that contrasts with the stimuli and pressures of modern life. Exposure to green spaces has been shown to lower stress levels in children, promoting a sense of tranquility and contributing to their overall happiness and emotional well-being
